Remarks

There are too many positive remarks to say like teaching quality, library facilities, lab infrastructure and many more. There are very few negative things those are canteen, no hostel facilities, and if internship is possible in some department it will be great.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is too good. And the syllabus is thoroughly completed. When I was a student there was a final exam in each 3 year conducted by University of Calcutta. And the college conducts a pre test and test examination each year. But now it is conducting semester exams as per UGC.

Placement Experience

5

No their is no internship program. Actually there are no scope for this in many departments of humanities. But if in science stream like physics, chemistry, biochemistry internship can be provided it will be great.

College Events

4

If I start from January there are many events like Annual sports, Saraswati puja, Blood donation camp, Republic day, Independence day, Annual photography exhibition, K.S. Rao memorial, Teacher's Day etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is completely feasible, during my time we have to pay the fees for 1 year at a time, except the university exam fees, excursion charge like these now students have to pay the fees for a semester at a time.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship facilities provided by the college but there is a prize money if a student stands first or second. Moreover students can avail Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means scholarship by state government and girls can avail "Kanyashri prakalpa" facilities.

Campus Life

4.5

No one can object about the infrastructure of lab. They are well equipped with quite good lab attendant. In extra curricular activities there are Annual Sports and annual photography exhibition. There are almost every sports is played like cricket, football, race etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

No I have no opted for hostel and the college doesn't provide hostel facilities. If students come from a long distance they have stay in rented room or flat in paying guest facilities in nearby locality.

Alumni/Alumna

They are very much helpful in every possible way. In any problem students can contact them without any hesitatio like question, method of study, previous question papers, exam pattern, reference books etc.

Admission

After the admission notification was out in the college website I applied for the Botany honours and made the fee payment of the form through bank challan. In 2 weeks they published the merit list according the number in Higher secondary exam. Then we had to go for short interview and documents verification process. Then I was instructed to pay the fees for the first year and I was admitted.

Faculty

5

I had never came across with such a nice faculty both teaching and non- teaching stuff. They are quite helpful in each occassion. They will never say no to any students regarding education. Once the syllabus is completed they provide enough practice exams.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
