Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum of electrical and electronics engineering is designed in such as way to include the current trends such as VLSI , SEMICONDUCTORS, RENEWABLE ENGERY TECHNILOGY etc. The curriculum is project oriented meaning the max weightage 40% is given to experiential learning , in order to implement the theory into practicals veschse theroy can only take you so far. The areas where th curriculum can improve is that adding more of technical subjects and removing subjects such as yoga , human values etc If the semester is for 4 months then each month (approx) will have one CIE (total of 3) and difficulty is moderate assuimg EEE is very hard

Internships Opportunities

4

Some companies do visit the college in the 2nd year for summer internships with stipend with the possibility of pre placement offer This is the best way to get placed in your 2nd year of college itself

Placement Experience

5

The placements of RVCE (especially Software ) are considered among the best in any of the private colleges in india The Highest package is of 65LPA and Avgerage package is of 10LPA (all branches) The Average package of CSE related branches is 18LPA whereas for EEE it is 11 LPA Around 85% of the students in whole of college will be placed or may be even higher while there is almost 95% placement in CSE related branches

Fees and Financial Aid

There are 3 types of fee structures one for KCET one for COMEDK and one for MANAGEMENT, For COMEDK the fee is 270000 per year and hostel fee is 150000 (hostel fee is same for all) the management fee depends on the branch , KCET fee is 50% less than COMEDK fee and Scholarship can be availed, the other fee which you need to pay (every year ) will be for lab records , exam fee(may be included in tution fee) other you need to buy datasheets (80 rupees per bundle ) to for lab work. Everything else will be included in your tution fee

Campus Life

4

There are multiple clubs both technical and non technical , the main technical clubs includes Ashwa , Chemera , Dhruva , Antariksh and non technical clubs includes Rotaract , Raag etc The Annual fest is held for every 2 years and it is called The 8th mile , it is not upto the hype of the college but fine Now the classroom and getting upgraded with digital boards ,WIFI facilities There is ground and a sports complex is getting built and should be ready by next year

Admission

Initially I considered IITs ,NITs but due to obvious reasons (not getting selected ) I wrote COMEDK and was considering RVCE , MSRIT and BMSCE . As RVCE being the best among private college in whole of India (after BITS) , I was compelled to choose RVCE that to a circuit branch The admission process of my college includes 3 ways one is through KCET, one is through COMEDK and the last one is MANAGEMENT The students belonging to Karnataka prefers KCET because the fee is less and students from other states write COMEDK Cut offs vary year by year and the admission process of simple but time taking

Faculty

4

Coming to the faculty most of them hold PHDs or currently doing their PHD , Each faculty is specialised in a particular area of the subject. In my branch Faculty to student ratio is 1:6. Coming to exam pattern there will be 3 internal exams (CIE) out of which best 2 are taken for 40 makes and 2 quizes for 20 marks and remaing 40 marks for experiential learning (project ) making a total of 100 marks and the subject having lab will carry a total of 150 marks internal (50 marks for lab work ) and semester exam will be for 100 marks (plus 50 marks for practicals only for lab courses ) the exams are moderate in difficulty depending on the subject. The course curriculum is updated and relevant to the present trend

Interview Experience

4

No there was nothing like ground discussion or interview but only written test called COMEDK was conducted Pattern includes total 180 marks and 180 questions , each question one mark (60 maths , 60 physics and 60 chemistry questions ) Seprate prepartion is not required , the preparation for jee mains is enough but time has to be managed

Night Life

3

The campus is not as huge as compared to a govt college , the night list is almost zero because there is no cafterias open until midnight Hostel timings include the students should be inside college by 11pm (boys ) 7pm (girls ) The main advantage is presence of metro station just outside the college gate The locality is safe to roam around at night although it is almost at the outskirts of bengaluru

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.
