Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate the BBA Curriculum at DTU (UMSE) is 7.5/10. I chose it for it's strong foundation in core management subjects like marketing, finance, economics and entrepreneurship, which is useful for MBA/ CAT preparation. It is academically solid but more theoretical than practical . Adding industry exposure, tools and live projects would help. Exams follows a semester system with the mid and end terms and are moderate in difficulty.

Internships Opportunities

4

DTU BBA offers internships through placement cell and societies. Students intern at Deloitte, KPMG, Decathlon, Zomato, ICIC Bank, etc in roles like marketing, HR, finance with stipends of 5000 to 15000 per month. Project include market research, sales analysis, HR hiring and strategy reports leading to PPOs or strong CV value.

Placement Experience

3

Placement for DTU BBA (USME) are moderate and are still developing. Students become eligible from the 6th semester. Companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, TCS, Startups and consulting firms visit. The average package is around 5-6LPA, with highest 10-12LPA for top profiles. Around 50-60% got placed. I planned to pursue an MBA and build my profile through certifications.

Fees and Financial Aid

The BBA Program at DTU (USME) has a year wise increasing fee structure. The annual academic fee ranges from 1.15 lakh ruppees to 1.30 lakh ruppees, increasing slightly every year. This includes tuition fee, student welfare charges, facilities and services charge, examination fee, EWS fund, library and other institutional charges. In the first year, additional one time charges such as registration fee, admission fee and refundable caution deposit are applicable. The total academic fee for the complete BBA Course is 5.1 lakh ruppees approximately (excluding hostel and mess charges). The base fee structure is same for General, OBC, SC, ST and EWS Categories, but students from reserved categories may recieve fee concessions through scholarships. Scholarships available include Post Matric Scholarships for SC/ST/OBC, Merit-cum means scholarships, minority scholarships and Central sector scholarships, which can partially or fully cover tuition fees depending upon eligibility and family income.

Campus Life

3

Campus life at DTU BBA (USME) is engaging though quiter than north campus. Engifest (feb) and Yuvaan-tech based events (mar-apr) are key fests. The library is well stocked with management books and journals. Sports facilities, smart classrooms and active socities support good social interaction.

Admission

I picked DTU BBA (USME) over other universities because of its solid academic reputation , structured curriculum, strong DTU brand. I applied to few IP universities, DU colleges, some of them accepted me, but DTU stood out for its ROI and faculty caliber. Due to high cutoffs, I was unable to attend a few prestigious universities. The admissions process is transparent and merit based since admission is through CUET-UG with 10+2 eligiblity.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:30-40, the student faculty relationship is really healthy, faculty is nice and understanding and they're quite approachable. I like Sakshi Kukreja ma'am and Priyanshi ma'am, they're very friendly and teach us very well. There aren't any faculty that I don't like but Darshan sir, they teach us the economics but I believe they can do better. The exams system includes 2 internal assessments and 1 final end term exam per subject.

Night Life

2

Night life is quiet. Campus closes by 10-11pm, library, cafeteria close by evening. Hostels have strict timings. Students unwind at karkaduma, there are few cafes and famous outlets. Area is generally safe but late roaming is limited.
