Likes
- Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
- It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
- Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades
Dislikes
- We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
- Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
- There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues
Course Curriculum Overview
I am 2022 batch so we are the last batch for 2019 regulations so we had courses that are pretty much out dated like construction practices, construction management etc. But 2023 regulation students have advanced subjects and also have subjectes related to computer scienses and IT
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are mostly unpaid work and its in our curriculum so we have to do it any way. We can also arrange our own internships or we can go for the internships our college staffs decide most of the are works done near our collage are NHAI cause the signed a mou with our collage
Placement Experience
Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.
Fees and Financial Aid
For students who joined through management Year wise fees now 165000?. And for students who joined through Tamil nadu government Counselling year fees now 125000?. First graduation 27500 reduction. Other scholarships also available and done through our collage staffs.
Campus Life
One of the good things about this college is the culture or campus life. Here there is no separation between boys and girls and staffs are also friendly well some staffs and there will be events every month with the money we have to give.
Admission
I got this college from tamil nadu counselling but i was planning to go to dhirajlal Gandhi college of technology as i liked it very much cause i atteded to induction program something like that and sona is also not that much bad its just that fees is higher here and also admission can be done if you give extra money such as donations.
Faculty
In our college we have credit systems so each course we complete have credits and some courses such as nptel exams also have credits so we can skip some subjects if we have enough credits. We also have relative grading system so its easy to get good marks and also courses might change with change in education cause we are a autonomous institutions
Night Life
I am a day scholar so i don't know much about the hostel life but my friend said that hostel gates will be closed at 9 o clock in evening so we should plan accordingly and our college is located inside the city so there are lot of places we can visit near but don't expect much cause salem is a small city
