What Students Say

Likes

faculty and mentorship , highly qualified faculty (phds , iit/forrign graduates) are approachable and helpful , mentor-mentee interaction
infrastructure and facilities , classromms are air conditionated
campus activities like kaltarang and urjostav etc

Dislikes

placements only for chemical and petroleum branches , no placements for tech branches
unworthy for fee , fee is very high yet students doesn't end up in MnCs for jobs or IIts for mtech

Course Curriculum Overview

curriculum is solid but theory heavy , core topics influenced my choice.good foundation for academics , average real world prep .needs more industry projects , modern electives , hands on labs , 2 sem exams+ mids+ daily quizzes , moderately difficult

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 1120000 per year

Placement Experience

placements start in 7th semester for chemical branches , top recruiters include ONGC ,IOCL , HPCL ,GAIL ,Reliance ,Shell ,EIL ,Infosys etc .highest 24 lpa , average 9-11 lpa , fo btech ,placements 70-92% in core branches .

Fees and Financial Aid

1.36 lakh per semester , inc tution fee , and hostel fee , fees have increased over years .sc/st : tution fee 75k/sem ,scholarships : merit-cum-means:, central sc/st schemes , state scholarships ,NSP ETC

Campus Life

RGIPT campus life is vibrant : Kaltarang ( feb ) and tech fests , well stocked library , smart classrooms , active sprts and clubs , strong student interaction , though rural location limits city exposure

Hostel Facilities

RGIPT hostels offer furnished rooms with metal beds study tables ,fans , and wi-fi . mess serves only basic north indian meals , south indians need to adjust with the north indian food ,affordable . hostel registration is easy . Off-campus PGs are not alowed

Hostel Fee: INR 160000 per year

Admission

chose RGIPT for strong core engineering and PSU placements , applies to IITS/NITS but missed cutoffs.RGIPT admission via JEE mains rang + adv rank :decent cutoff . compared to other ,RGIP has niche focus , good facult , but less city exposure and less placements

Faculty

faculty-student ratie is approx 1:15 ; most are approachable and knowledgeable. good profs in core subjects , some newer/contract faculty vary in clarity .exams:2 sem exams +midterms; difficulty level is high , and daily quizes in every class

Night Life

RGIPT has limited nightlife due to rural location ; hostels quite after 10PM ,library and gym close early ' cafeteria open till 8 PM . students unwind in hostels or campus lawns ; nearby areas are mostly safe but few late spots exist

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

What I See at SRM Ghaziabad

Likes

I really appreciated the college clubs and hackathons.
There are variety of events throughout the semester, something to always keep you on your feet.
Some of the faculties are really really experienced and have a unique approach that captures the attention of all the students.

Dislikes

Not many hotspots around campus to hang out after classes.
The infrastructure of the hostel can be improved a lot.
Food in mess is not great, the menu is not very diverse. Everything has aloo.

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually impressive with our college having the highest placement rate among others in the region. We usually achieve ~90% placement. We get opportunities from many large groups, such as Infosys, TCS, JPMC, BNY, Logitech, etc etc The list goes on. The highest package that I saw was of around 1Cr from a company I don't remember their name, but it was based out of SF and was a really great one. Average placement we see is around 12-20LPA packages.

The food may sometimes be not very good.
The campus has less places to spend some free time other than some spots.
Due to small academic hall places may look too crowded.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is really one of the the factors convincing everyone to take admission in SRM ,average package from the college is of around 10,00,000 which is really a very good amount in todays stresfull market.

For all the colleges I have applied I decided to go with this college as it is an institute of national importance and it appeared more appealing compared to colleges that i was getting. I qualified JEE Advanced but my rank was not enough for IIT so I chose this college as it select candidates based on thier rank in JEE Advanced. For admission in college one need to apply on institues website after which in 2 round list of selected candidates is released based on their rank annd their prefrences....Read More

Slightly Satisfied Overall

I went for the sake of Govt. college name which turned out of no use as teaching and support is very bad. Also my course name is just a gimmick. Our college admits students on JEE Advanced and for left over seats they use JEE Mains Score. Till 90 percentile in JEE Mains students can get this college. The addmission is not through the JoSAA , it has a separate website....Read More

An Honest Opinion for your future at RGIPT

This college was Central Government and was taking admission on the basis of JEE Advanced that are the only 2 reasons to take admission here. I got few colleges but I preferred this. RGIPT conducts its own admission process through its portal. Cutoff for JEE advanced was around 30-35k rank. Admission was smooth process....Read More

RGIPT : An underrated college

The admission process included entrance exams like jee advanced and jee mains, but priority of jee advanced candidate is more and if seat remain vancant then it is filled through jee mains. I had applied many state government colleges like gurugram university, mdu rohtak, pec chandigarh, ymca faridabad, iist, iiser. Some of them are quite good but in terms of research and computer science engineering were not there so I freferred RGIPT. Our college accepts admission through JEE Advanced results but if seats remains vacant then it gets filled on the basis of JEE Mains score. Cutoff for JEE advanced is not specific but someone just qualified jee advanced then there is a high chance of getting admission here, and for jee mains, above 94 percentile is considered to be a safe score....Read More

RGIPT Reviews in details

I was getting a better branch in this collage with more opportunities. But when I saw my other college list that I got there was the lower branches. So instead of getting good colleges like IIITs and BIT Mesra and having lower branches. I choose to come to RGIPT which is also a reputed name but with a great booming branch. Mode of Admission is Jee Advanced and JEE Mains (but if you apply with jee mains you have less chances of getting a good branch if you have less than 97 percentile)...Read More

I got seats in few other colleges like jaypee noida , DTU ,IIPE but i chose RGIPT because its an institute of national importance and i was getting computer science branch here. Amongst all the colleges where i was getting seat RGIPT was a good option so i went with it. RGIPT takes admission with both JEE ADV & JEE MAINS rank. But ADV is preferred for CS branches. Councelling starts on official website after the result then addmision is done according to the merit list.Cutoff is not very high ,one can get cs if has adv rank in 20'sK....Read More
