Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course at organization RIMT University","Punjab private universitymainly because of its well-structured curriculum, which starts with strong foundational subjects and gradually moves toward advanced and application-oriented topics, helping students build clarity and confidence in the field. The curriculum prepares students fairly well for further academic pursuits by strengthening conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and subject knowledge, while also offering basic exposure to practical learning through assignments, presentations, and internal assessments. However, preparation for real-world applications can be improved by adding more hands-on projects, industry-based case studies, internships, and updated syllabus content aligned with current industry trends. Teaching methods are generally satisfactory, but incorporating more interactive approaches such as project-based learning, discussions, practical demonstrations, and guest lectures from industry professionals would make learning more engaging and effective. The examination system includes regular internal assessments along with mid-semester and end-semester exams, ensuring continuous evaluation throughout the academic year. The frequency of exams is manageable, though better spacing between assessments would help reduce academic pressure. In terms of difficulty, the exams are moderate, and students who attend classes regularly and prepare consistently can clear them without much difficulty. Overall, the course offers a solid academic base, with scope for improvement in practical exposure and modern teaching techniques.

Internships Opportunities

5

I was joined in the company named morning star mohali it is an it company where they give me 12,000 per month as the intern of company it was good experience and university also give me the certificate of that internship that will help me to get good job after the graduation degree

Placement Experience

5

Our university provide placement for students who scored good in thir curriculum and university send them to information technology company so they can make their future the highest package was 60 lpa from an it company it is good to have many companies

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee I'm paying is 56000 with scholarship of 40 percentage because I have passed the scholarship exam which is conducted by the university and there is facilities available for SC caste that if you belong from SC caste your tutuion fee will be free and you don't have to pay anything. To get admission you have to pay one time registration fee which is around 15,000 it includes all the other charges like exam fee etc and there is one more fee which is security fee which is used if you destroy any university property

Campus Life

5

My overall experience with my university is very good with all my friends and faculty members it is best because it provides security to all students and there are many clubs in the university like technical club and media club and other clubs are also available

Admission

Before the Rimt University i have applied to lovely professional University but I didn't choose that university because of there fee structure there fee structure was very high and I am unable to afford that so I choose the Rimt University instead of lovely professional University

Faculty

5

The faculty-to-student ratio is reasonably balanced, allowing students to interact with teachers without much difficulty, and most faculties are approachable and supportive, especially during lectures and doubt-clearing sessions, though a few prefer interaction only during class hours. Some faculties stand out due to their clear explanations, practical teaching approach, and encouragement to ask questions, which makes learning engaging and effective, and these qualities place them among the best faculties, while a few others were less liked because of monotonous teaching styles, limited interaction, or a very strict approach that reduced student engagement. The examination system generally includes 2–3 internal assessments along with semester-end exams, and the difficulty level is moderate; students who attend classes regularly and prepare consistently can clear them easily, while only a small percentage fail, mostly due to lack of preparation or attendance issues. Overall, the course curriculum is relevant and provides a strong theoretical foundation, though adding more practical and industry-oriented components would further enhance its usefulness.

Night Life

5

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
