An Honest Review of My BSc Computer Science College Experience

The Bsc Computer Science curriculum covers core subjects like Python , C++, and java programming , databases and operating systems, providing a strong theoritcal base. However, it could include more practical and job-oriented topics. Exams are regular and moderately difficult, helping students stay consistent.

Internship opportunities through the college are limited, and students usually find internships independently. SOme info is shared by faculty. Sutdents commonly interns in areas like web development, software support, or data-related roles, often with little or no stipend, but gaining useful practical experience.

Campus placement are limited in the college. A few companies visit during the final year, and students usually becomes eligible fromo the last semester. The packages offered are generally modest, mostly for entry-level roles. Only a small percentage of students get placed thorugh campus drives, while many prefer to apply off-campus for better opportunities. The college provides basic placement support such as info about job openings and guidance, but students need to build their own skills and prepare independently. After completing the degree, students prefer to pursue higher studied, professional courses, or entry-level IT jobs.

I chose this college beacuse my 12th-grade marks were slightly low, which limited admission opportunities in college with higher cut-offs. This college offered BS Computer Science with flexible eligibilty. The admission process was simple and merit-based, requiring only document submission, and was completed smoothly without any entrance exam or interview.

The faculty members in our college are generally supportive, approachable, and helpful. Most teachers clarify doubts even outside lecture hoours and maintain good relationship with students. The faculty-to-student ratio is satisfactory and teachers are generally supportive and approchable. The course structure follows the Mumbai University syllabus and covers core computer science subjects, though it could be more industry-level topics. The examination system includes internal test, practical exams and end-of-semester university exams. The difficulty level is moderate, and students who study regularly can perform well. Since this is primarily a day college, there is limited campus nightlife. Most academic activites takes place during daytime hours, and facilities such as the library, canteen and classroom close by evening. There is no hostel within campus, so student usually return home after classes. The locality is generally safe and active during the evening.
