Course Curriculum Overview

5

The B.Com course curriculum in my college is quite relevant and well structured. It covers core commerce subjects like accounting, business studies, and economics, which helped me choose this course. The syllabus mainly focuses on building strong theoretical fundamentals, which is useful for students planning higher studies such as M.Com, MBA, or professional courses like CA. The curriculum prepares students reasonably well for academic purposes, but there is still scope for improvement in terms of real-world exposure. More practical learning, case studies, presentations, and industry interaction would make the course more skill-oriented and career-focused. The college follows the semester system with internal and external examinations conducted regularly. The exams are of moderate difficulty level. Students who attend classes regularly, complete assignments, and study consistently can pass and score good marks.

Fees and Financial Aid

The application form fee is Rs 600. The yearly fee for the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) course is Rs 19000, which remains almost the same every year l. Additionally, Rs 500 per semester is charged for the minor subject as per NEP. The overall fee structure is quite affordable compared to other private colleges. Scholarships are available for eligible students. This include the UP Government Scholarship (based on category and income criteria) and the Single Girl Child scholarship.

Campus Life

4

My overall campus experience has been good. One of the major highlights of the college is the annual event called Damodarshree, which is usually held every year on 11th October. It is a well-known debate competition where students from reputed institutions like IITs, DU, and BHU come to participate. The event is quite competitive because participants are given cash prizes, and the first prize goes up to Rs 2 lakhs. The college also organizes various quizzes and academic competitions throughout the year. The college library is well-stocked with a wide range of books related to commerce and other subjects. Even older edition books from the past 10 years are available, which is helpful for reference and exam preparation. In terms of extracurricular activities, sports events are also organized.Cricket matches between teachers are conducted. Classrooms are decent for regular learning, though there is still scope for improvement in infrastructure.

Admission

I had applied to Delhi University and even received admission confirmation there. However, I finally chose this college because of affordability and safety reasons. Living in Delhi would have been quite expensive for me. Along with that, my parents were also concerned about safety in a city like Delhi. Considering both financial and personal comfort, this college turned out to be a practical and suitable option for me. I had also applied to BHU through CUET, but unfortunately my CUET score was not high enough to secure admission there. Due to the competitive cut-offs, I was not able to make it to BHU. CUET scores are accepted and students with higher CUET scores are given preference during admission, in this college. However, the college also offers some non-CUET seats. Students from commerce, arts, and science backgrounds are all eligible to apply for the B.Com course. There is no strict cut-off system in this college, but naturally, a higher CUET score increases the chances of getting admission.

Faculty

4

The faculty student relationship in college is very good and friendly. Teachers are approachable and students can ask their doubts without any hesitation. There is also a proper mentor–mentee record maintained for every student, because of which students can even share their personal or academic problems comfortably. Among all the teachers, I really like Dr. Divya Singh. She is a teacher who takes lot of initiative in the classroom. She regularly asks questions, keeps students engaged, and explains concepts in a very simple and clear way. Because of her teaching style, even difficult topics become easy to understand. She also prepares students well for exams and gives proper guidance on how to write answers. However, I did not like the approach of one teacher very much because she is extremely strict about attendance, sometimes it creates a bit pressure on students. The college follows the semester system. The exams are of moderate level, and any student who attends classes regularly and studies sincerely can pass easily. Overall, the curriculum is relevant and provides a good basic understanding of commerce subjects.

Night Life

2

Student spend time in auditorium watching singing, dance competition or sitting in college canteen. They usually prefer outside cafeteria or public park. They may also sit in library for doing peaceful work.

Placement Experience:

If you want to join this college for a better placement so you should join another college or university because this college is for those who want just a graduation degree and prepare for some other courses like CA,CMA,CFA or other. I am not sure about the highest or average package as per company but i want to clear that this college is not for those who want to complete their graduation and start earning.

This years entrance exam has been done in very free and fair manner. No cheating, no source and no third party enrollment and only who passed the examination, got admission.
