Course Curriculum Overview

3

I really liked physics and applications of physics so chose mechanical engineering, as ut has a lot of application of physics directly can really see how things work not just ideally but actually Curriculum is really good besides getting assignments which noone takes seriously everyone just copies , there must be much more practical stuff so that everyone learns but we do get that in tech teams but not directly as a student in college. There must be practical teachings and proper guidance proper high level machineary must be there, industry visits must be there and internships in such companies must be encouraged There are 5 exams of 1.5 hour considered as mid sems and 6 exams of 3 hours considered as endsems

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees:- (general canidate, Indian citizen) First year:-2,47,000 Second year:- 2,53,000 Third year :- 2,62,000 Fourth year:- 2,74,000 (By year it includes both the semesters) Fees of a back exam:- 7500 I havent took any scholarships but DTU itself provides 25/50/75/100% scholarship on basis of a interview taken and bank records submitted by students, otherwise many more scholarships are available, providing full tution fees and hostel fees along with laptops like reliance one, bharti one. Hostel fees:- Generally same for all types of hostels but little difference in ac/ non ac of 8000 rupees Total mess fees of full year 36000 out of which they refund fees of holidays on which food is not being prepared in mess or mess is closed due to some restrictions. While if you are a DASA student or international student fees is almost 4 times but you could heavy scholarships reducing it to normal pricing. Overall ROI is really good and university is affordable

Campus Life

5

Engifest is major culturalfest held in feb/march Incuctus is tech fest typically in jan/feb Fests are super fun as there are really good artists and have networking opportunities Dtu have a enormous livrary and have a great collection of books and journals Classrooms are equipped with acs proper lighting smart boards soeakers and everything a smart classroom need and we have proper tech in our labs though not of reall good quality Sports facilities are really good , every soort is available in dtu There are more than 100 societies abd clubs in dtu which provide mentorship from seniors and really good communication and networking opportunities

Admission

I applied to all the iits, got some but didnt had much opportunities, applied to similar level colleges but got the best branch in dtu and applied to private colleges like thapar, vit, upes got selected in all with all branches as a option but for a eeason cutoff is hugh here as we get to experience every type of art here, proffesors are good enough and delhi being a great location for opportunities I got rejected from iits as i could not reach the minimum cut off criteria You have to give jee mains score well and get a good percentile then apply for JACcounselling eventually getting a seat in DTU

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio :- 1:60(almost) As in my first sem i got DC Meena sir who helped every student put a lot of effort, on each student and made sure everyone does good and eventually only 3 out of 84 students failed but sir being good didnt failed them too and handed over some assignments to them and eventually passed them so that noone gets bad grades I hated RS Mishra sir as he failed 56 students out of 84 considering back fees so high what would students do and he is not ready to listen anything, so rude, sent his phd scholar in almost every class never taught us just ruthlessly failes students One mid sem is taken and one end sem is taken, mid sem is average level and end sem is very high level Mis sem is of 20/25 marks and end sem is of 40/50 marks according to subject wether it includes lab work or not

Night Life

3

Gym is available 6:00-10:00 and 18:00-20:00, cafeterias open at 8 am and remain open till 11 at nught some being open till 4 in the morning Library is open 24/7 in exams otherwise 9-9 it us open No hostel in time for boys though campus in time for hoys us 11 and for girls hostel in time is 11 and campus in time is 9 Cafe dtu is really famous among students but area is really unsafe so not advised to roam around at night

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
