In West Bengal the rank of techno main saltlake college is third if you compare with techno main saltlake college to the other Kolkata's engineering college or other west Bengal college based in campusing,studies, faculties, opportunity, scope our college definitely one of the best college in West Bengal. Only one negative remark that our college campus is not so big.
Course Curriculum Overview
I studied in food Technology.it's very rare course not much student study so chance for getting job much easier than others course. It's a b.tech degree forth year course including 8 semester. First year is same for all engineering department after first year it's different based on the department.
Placement Experience
Placement quality average in our college because now a days engineering market little bit down but if student of cse or it or ece than you can get job easily than other departments. And also food technology department provide a good placement. Yes ,our college provide internship, in our food department our faculty provide internship for all students but am not sure about other dept whether they provide internship for all students.
College Events
1)In our college we organised a cultural program name as 'annakhronus' it's second largest cultural fest in Kolkata. 2) Techno main saltlake organise a technical fest name as "Edge". Budget of this fest nearly about 80-90 lakh. it's a largest technical fest in eastern India. 3)our college organise a social fest name as filanthrophia in this fest all the social worker are invited. 4) All dept have their separate departmental fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For b.tech around 4 lakh needed in our college. And there have tfw quota if your parents income not more than 2.5 lakh than you can apply for this quota and you can get that seat based on tfw rank. And important thing is that you have be the resident in West Bengal if you tfw quota than fees is very much less than normal fees structure, it's around 4250 rupees per semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college provide scholarship for only sc and sc student. college did not provide any scholarship to the general categories student. As fee I know loan facilities does not provide our college but you can get loan from Punjab bank,punjab bank placed under college campus.
Campus Life
In our we have lots of extracurricular activities you take part in technical fest and you can win a big amount with certificate. You can participate in cultural program in cultureal fest or in Freshers program. we organise tournament reloaded a sports events which have all types sports and we organise a big cricket tournament. our college have a football which participate other college tournaments.
Hostel Facilities
Yes our college have hostel. infrastructure and facilities are high quality but here we have a rule about fees payment. Total fees 66k per year, you have to pay 44 k in advance the rest part of fees you can pay within one year in any time.
Alumni/Alumna
As far I know maximum alumni or senior from all departments are very helpful. And if I talk about our departmental senior or alumni they are best in our college they are very helpful. we see our department as a full family with alumni, senior, faculties, food technology development is a very helpful department in our college.
Admission
You can get admission in this college through wbjee or Aijee or management quota, I get admission through wbjee, after secure a rank in wbjee you have to take part in counseling process, counseling occurs in 3 stage, after seat allotment you can take admission that college whatever you got or wait for better college, after 3rd counselling you have to get admission in a college which you got.
Faculty
Our faculty members are very good, there teaching quality is very good, they teaches us as a parent's, they all are all very experienced teacher so they can understand the students mind easily than teaches us based on our ability.
