Positive : Large campus, Greenery everywhere, Good faculty, excellent placement, Alrounnd development, good facilities Negitives: Mess food, No air connectivity, Bikes are not allowed and campus is very large it takes 10-15 on bicycle to go for any emergency.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for JEE should be given in intermediate for every student according to their capabilities. The exam pattern is also good and it is improving year by year.This year they've conducted this exam two and best of two is considered, so it is easier for students if they make any mistakes first they can rectify that second time.
Placement Experience
The placement are very good. Almost every student get a job irrespective of package before passing out.The highest package is 60 Lpa where as least is 3.25lpa. Internship is provided ,no stipend will be provided only accommodation.To get an internship your CV should be good.
College Events
Innovision-Technical fest, Nitr Utsav - Cultural fest, Vriddhi- Sports fest and apart from this many club events, seminars, webinars, Quizzes will be conducted.2000-3000 students from outside come and participate in these tests every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees will be around 1lakh per semester now and there is fee waiver for students based on their parents income,.i.e. <1 lakh, between 1 to 4, and>4 lakh. If valid income certificate is provided then students can avail the fee waiver.

There are so many scholarships like FEA, FFE, Based on intermediate marks there is a scholarship. And students can check their eligibility in National scholarship portal.Loan facility is also available there banks in our college they offer education loan with rate of interest 8.45.
Campus Life
There are lot extra curricular activities , one participate in and develop he/she indivially. Separate grounds for different sports , swimming pool, gym hockey stadium.etc. the labs are of world class facilities.
Alumni/Alumna
The Nitraa Alumini is the alumni network for Nit Rourkela. A passed out student can register in this and can avail the benefits through this. It helps the back ward students in their education fees, and for any abroad education by providing funds and if any member of Nitraa has met with any accident or any major disease ,Nitraa will help in them in all possible ways.
Admission
After Intermediate , one should give JEE - Mains exam to get admission in Nits. Only on the basis merit according to Category will get admissions. No donations or any sort of recommendations will work. The exam is all India level and around 12-15 lakh people nearly every appear for this.
Faculty
Coming to Nit Rourkela, one of the best engineering colleges in India. It is the 2nd best Nit according to Nirf ranking among 30Nits. The professor's here are very talented and every one is. a PhD Scholar, it Varies from branch to branch.
