Course Curriculum Overview
what I liked the most about this course is the practical exposure taht it offers. we are often take on industrial visits and attend guest lecturesa by various industrial experts. it helps student become market ready for the very beginning. i don't think so any improvement is required from the university's side cause their current curriculum has practical alignment with industry standards. exams here are conducted quareterly whereas internal examinations are taken weekly.
Internships Opportunities
there are a lot of internship opportunities here, companies like taste of mom, pantaloons, Zara, CK, etc, the roles offered here mainly depnds upon the domains that studnets have opted like sales excecutive, SEO interns, HR trainee, etc. For marketing studnets projects are given like target achievement, for HR students it could be related to payroll, for finance it's mainly related to auditing so it depends upon the domain that you've opted.
Placement Experience
third semester students are eligible to sit for placements. a lot of companies have visited the campus like HCL, tech mahindra, ICICI bank, infosys etc. the highest package went up to 40 LPA in the digital marketing role whereas avg package was 8.7 LPA . around 95% students were placed on campus. I personally want to pursue PHD side by side after completing my mba from here.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid around 250000 annually apart from other fees like exaination, uniform, library, etc . fees of these expenses will cost you somehwere around 50000. whereas my batchmate's fees costs somewhere around similar to what I'm paying. there are many scholarships like merit based, domicile, defeence wards etc
Campus Life
there are about 22-23 clubs functioning over here. they are all led by students and they often keep organising various activities and events. Their annual event is Genisis, it's a three day long fest that involves various competitions and activities. The books are issued in every quarter from the library and the classes here are well equipped with AC, projector, smartboards etc.
Hostel Facilities
i have opted for double sharing with attached washroom and here I have various facilities like cooler, fan, water cooler, laundry services, fridge, etc. Meal here is served 4 times a day and we have various options to choose from, like roti, rice, dry vegetable, and dal is made regularly and fruits are also given twice or thrice a week in the breakfast. the food quality is decent and students have right to change the menu. to opt for hostel you have to choose category and hostel name in the google forms that is given after addmision. the only thing I disliked about living in the hostel is strict timings for entry and exit.
Admission
I have applied to UPES as well but after I saw it's fees I opted out myself, it was not because I couldn't afford it but the curriculum there was not good at all and their placements are not satisfactory considering the fees they are charging. Admission process here consists of PI round followed by WAT (written aptitude test) the final selection is made on the basis of your performance in entracnce tests and DGU entrance examinations.
Faculty
there are about 60-70 faculties all of them are really supportive. my one of the favourites faculties will be Atul sir, he is a CS and arbitrator of SEBI. He is very proficient in teachimng and I really love his teaching skills . I'm not a very big fan of business law but he made it so easy with his teaching skills . I don't have any personal gruges against any faculties as such but there were a few of them who were very specific about their assignments and didn't provide a leverage even for a day so I am not a very big fan of her. exams here are conducted quarterly and internal examinations are conducted weekly.
Interview Experience
no, I went through PI round followed by wriiten aptitude test. the interview is not very hard, you just need to have basic knowledge of your domain along with current affairs. during my interview I was asked about my domain and some general knowledge questions, and topic for my written exams was AI integration in MBA . to prepare for this I just went through current affairs and read about my domain.
Night Life
my fravourite hangout place here is definitely is common area of my hostel, they have huge seating space wherein me and my friends hangout for a long time with a beautiful; view of the mountains. our hostel provides various facilities like gym, kitchen, cooler, fridge, laundry services, water cooler etc. the famous hangout place in the campus is probably gazebo or the basketball ground, and here we have a lot of food chains and cafes outside the campus like- hangout casa, mom's kitchen, brothers cafe etc.
Other Applied Colleges
