- The hostel and faculty infrastructure is very old need replacement asap.
- Rural location of colleges so urban access of blinkit,zomato etc is unavailable.
- Placement numbers here is too short university need to work on that.
Course Curriculum Overview
Honestly, I was preparing for neet but after neet i was very clear that i want to do this(Agriculture). Practical cum theory approach here will make you a awared man in this field. Placements and Governments seats after UG is very competitive although. In upcoming future everyone will going to focus on larger production in limited land/cultivation area so Agriculture will be needed today and tomorrow.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, RAWE program is the part of course and yes, university do provides internships for students. Many private, government and NGOs visit here for internships. Internships are very important here because practical applications of knowledge in this field is key.
Fees and Financial Aid
There's a fees pf 12,800 per semester for hostlers and 11000 per semester for day scholars which includes every charges here except mess bill. No category benefits on fees here. Yes scholarship is provided for west bengal domicile students of Rs 18000 annually.
Campus Life
Yes, I am happy with the campus life here. Here's a farewell program, fresher's program, inter year sports, programs on every auspicious day etc happens regularly. Library is very big and one of the largest Library of east india. Classrooms is fully furnished with Projector and Ac. Many interesting opportunities you will get here on regular basis to show your talent.
Hostel Facilities
1 bed, 1 table and 1 rack is provided here. The hostel have poor infrastructure it's very old so don't have any almirah in rooms. But food here's awesome that's little unique feature of my hostel than other hostels. You don't have to pay hostel charges separately. Yes, mess charge you have to pay every month.
Admission
I applied in this college because the cut-off of Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University was really high for Bihar domicile due to high demand and icar 40 percent rule. Also this is college is near kolkata so from distance basis i have preffered this college.
Faculty
Faculty members are mostly very supportive towards you. They are strict and for sure they have to follow rules so they're disciplined too. Some Faculty members maybe little short tempered but you have to handle everyone calmly. If you're hindi speaking Faculty is really cooperative here.
Night Life
Boys are allowed to roam anywhere or anytime. Girls hostel have restrictions they can't go outside after 9 pm. Outside the gate many cafes, restaurants etc are active in night too. There's no such crazy nightlife here but yes with friends you will make great memories here.
