Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course mainly because its syllabus covers practical financial concepts and industry trends rather than just old theories. It actually does a great job prepping us for real-world corporate roles through presentations and case studies. If there's one thing to improve, it would be adding more hands-on software training or internships into the core semesters. As for exams, we have mid-terms and end-terms regularly; they can feel a bit hectic timewise, but the difficulty level is manageable if you keep up with your studies.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides good internship opportunities with companies like Bajaj Capital, ClearTax, and High Beam Global, offering roles such as financial analyst and business intern. Most of these internships come with a decent stipend and practical learning outcomes. We work on real corporate projects that help build our resume and give a clear picture of the industry, making us well prepared for final job placements later on.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 5th semester. Top recruiters like HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and Bajaj Capital visit the campus, offering around 70 to 80 percent of students job offers. The highest package offered goes up to around 6.7 LPA, while the average package is around 3.5 to 4.5 LPA for roles like Financial Analyst and Banking Associate. My personal plan after finishing my degree is to gain a few years of corporate work experience in the finance sector.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid around ₹1,22,000 to ₹1,75,000 per semester depending on scholarship categories. Amity offers merit-based scholarships of 25%, 50%, and 100% tuition fee waivers based on Class 12 board marks or entrance test scores.
Campus Life
Campus life is lively with annual cultural and technical fests held around February and March. The central library is well stocked with a huge range of books, journals, and digital study portals. Classrooms are modern, fully air-conditioned, and equipped with good tech tools like smart boards. There are plenty of sports facilities and active student-run clubs that make college life engaging.
Admission
Before choosing here, I also applied to a couple of other private ones, but I picked Amity Gurugram mainly for its strong brand and campus infrastructure. I did not face rejections. The admission process was quite simple: eligibility requires passing Class 12 with 50 percent marks. They accept CUET or conduct their own test and an interview. The overall admission experience was very smooth and easy thanks to the helpful counselors.
Faculty
The professors here are super approachable and friendly, with a solid faculty-to-student ratio where you can easily reach out for help. Teachers like Dr. Amit and Prof. Sharma are amazing because they focus on real-world examples rather than just books. On the flip side, a few professors can be a bit too strict with attendance and submission deadlines. We have mid-terms and end-term exams each semester—they aren't overly tough if you follow the lectures, so hard fails are pretty rare. Overall, the course structure feels quite relevant and industry-focused.
Night Life
The gym, cafeterias, and library generally close by evening around 8 or 9 PM, while the hostel in-time is usually around 10 PM. After classes, students love hanging out at the campus canteens or local spots nearby. The surrounding locality is fairly safe, though roaming around very late outside requires caution. These evening hangouts are a great way to unwind and chill with friends after a hectic academic day.
