Course Curriculum Overview

Good to choose. Exam is same as Bachelor of Engineering. 50 marks internal for which 3 internals will be conducted. The last will be the final semester exam which has 100 mark totally.this is the same structure as BE

Placement Experience

Yes, my college provides internship in 7th and 10th semester for my course. Many companies, including Microsoft will come for recruitment. Many have placed in Samsung last year. My friends have done internship in startups also.

College Events

There are many events celebrated in my college. Of those, kuruksethra and techofest is the most famous events. Fresher's day is also celebrated in a grand manner known as Agni to welcome the budding minds

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since, my college is a government college, paying the fees won't be of much difficult for any students. Instead many have opted for educational loan too. The college itself will help in getting the loan for needy

Admission

Anna University Official Counselling which would be conducted every year by Anna University for PG Integrated course other than normal Tamil Nadu Engineering Application. Many will apply for this and will be called for selection process

Faculty

Good teachers, some are like what we see in news and newspapers. Some are strict, some are lenient, some are lenient in correction, some are jovial and be friendly with students. While some will be good to staffs alone

Likes

There are many courses including post graduation.
Faculties are well expertise and has good mentorship quality
The fees are affordable to pay for the course I have selected

Dislikes

Need to improve the infrastructure of the college
Crowded canteen it would be better if we have one more
There is some hygienic issues in the washrooms could be better if it is hygiene

THE IDEAL COLLEGE LIFE!

Likes

The opportunities to meet new people and interact with a whole new circle of people by Club Activities as there are quite a lot of clubs according to the student's interest.
Many places to showcase our singing and dancing talent once we join the club or take part in any of the department events.
They have multiple labs for a single department so that the students get a lot of hands on training for coding and as well as hardware.

Dislikes

4:3 Ratio of Girls to Boys in my class and i hope it's the same for all the departments as well.
The college timing can go from 8:30 AM to 5:10PM.
The 75% attendance is kind of doable and maintainable to an extent.

Placement Experience:

about 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed afdter the colleg and the ones not placed also gets placed after the college with high network and communication from other contacts within the college, ZOHO Corp does take placements and i am preparing for my CAT exams as i am planning for My highers at IIM, 5th semester is when the students become eligible for the campus placements and the seniors are a good connection who help to get places and get a job after the completion of degree.

Hostel , mess food and mess hall , no facilities for marine practical

Teaching methods of marine faculties are excellent but in my course they add some additional subject like tamil and hindi which are useless and no neede for a mariner as the marine faculties are good in teaching and explaining but they also having difficulty in teaching as the requirements didn't meet from the college management

Experience about College Of Engineering Guindy Chennai

The admission process was so simple for both regular and lateral entry students. The must attain certain cutoff to get admission in CEG. The diploma students can join as lateral entries and they too need certain percentage to get admission. Every department has a specific cut off percentage to join in them. The students can join through counciling process. The counciling process will held separately for regular and lateral entry students. The college fees will be reduced uf the student is a first graduate or belongs to sc/st community. Scholarships will be provided for students based on their parents income or through academic performance. The eligibility condition is a minimum cut-off in physics, chemistry, and mathematics in class 12 board exams. The candidate should have scored a minimum of 50 percent in those subjects if he belongs to the general category. The minimum percentage is 40 percent for the reserved categories. The cut-off marks for the previous years can be seen from the following link: cutoff.tneaonline.org.
