Review of IET Lucknow

I think our college has improved dramatically in recent years. New departments of chemical and mechanical, sports complex, auditorium for student activities, library all are in developing state and will be ready till next year.

Course curriculum is completely relevant to the course you are opting and most of the syllabus covers the syllabus of GATE of respective branches. Exams are generally held in the month of December and May for the odd semester and even semester respectively. You will get plenty of time for the preparation of exams.

Earlier the placement was not upto the mark seeing the quality of students of our college but the director of our college took the responsibility of the betterment of the placement records. Our college is now collaborating with various placement providing platforms and also various organisations are now showing interest in getting the students of our college. The best placement records are mainly of the branch CS, IT and EC till now.

There are various events that take place in our college throughout the year. Shauryotsava (sports fest), Encore ( annual cultural fest), Ankuran ( tech fest) and various departmental fest like alchemy (chemical dept. Fest) are some of the examples of events taking place annually in our college. The goal of these events is to make interaction between students easier.

The fees structure of our college, I reckon, is the main plus point of our college as the fees of tution fees is almost half the price what other engineering college take and the hostel fees is 10k for 1st and 2nd students and 14k for 3rd and 4th year students compared to above 1lacs what private institutions are taking. And if you're economically weak, then you can fill the scholarship form which will reimburse all of the amount you'll pay at the college.

The scholarship is provided on the basis of economical status of students and if you're financially weak from home and apply for scholarship, you will get all your amount refunded to you. Till now, there are very less complaint registered of not getting scholarship. For loan purpose, you can get loan from the vijaya bank in our college.

There are various societies in our college like arts society, literary society, drama society, music society, astronomy society, taekwondo team etc. You can join these societies according to your interests. You can join more than one society.

The hostel is certainly not like any hotel but of course it provide all the essential facilities like clean rooms, internship connectivity, 24/7 water and electricity supply and supporting management committee. There are 4 floors in every boys hostel. There are 4 students allotted in 1 room for 1st and 2nd year students, 2 boys in one room in 3rd year and 1 room allotted for 1 student in 4th year.

There is an event held annually named as convergence in which an alumni batch is invited in our college for the purpose of interaction between alumni and students presently studying in our college. The seniors are supporting and helpful as well. There is no scenerio of ragging in our college.

To get admission in IET or any engineering college under AKTU, you need to clear the enterence exam UPSEE. IET is a government college of UP so you should be getting a rank under 10,000. After that, you must enroll in the counselling process and verify your documents.

Last year, all the guest faculties were replaced after the complaints of many students. The new guest faculties are very understanding and help the students in every possible way. The professors are very professional and friendly. Also if you want to prepare for GATE exam, you can get the coaching in the college also from the top faculties of India.
