CMR Technical Campus has been structured to take a quantum leap on the changing trends of technology. The need of setting up the college emerged when no other college could fulfill to the aspirations of a student in his/her endeavor to acquire wholesome education.
They are only able to place at least 85% students reason is complete knowledge of programming (BTech CSE), also most of the companies conduct off campus at CMRTC because of their big campus, they personally also have interest in hiring only CMRTC students.
The very strength of CMR Technical Campus lies in its principles of providing the right learning environment for the student who does not have to compromise throughout the learning process of becoming global citizen. To impart quality education in serene atmosphere thus strive for excellence in Technology and Research.
The placement opportunities are very good, however there is a constant effort to increase them. So many big recruiters came to campus for bulk hire. As they also do promote a last sem training, So placements is very good and excellent.
There are a good no. of labs available for the student and the number of times which a student can use the labs are more as compared to any other college. The exams were in good numbers including the internal leaving very less amount of time with the students for any other activity.
Over the years since it has been established, there has been dynamic progress at CMRTC in all academic and research activities, and a spectacular improvement in facilities and infrastructure, to keep it on par with the best institutions in India.
The campus epitomizes the Technical Campus motto, "Learning and Exploring" in providing the best of infrastructure and ambience. CMR Technical Campus keeps abreast of the global situation. is one of the premier educational institutions dedicated to impart quality education and promoting excellence in academic pursuits in the field of Science.
Placement and Job opportunities are amazing. They provide PDP sessions which helped a lot in placement drives. Apart that a lot of Mock Interviews are scheduled to help the confidence building in students.
Campus life is not boring at all. They provide a lot of back to back events t o make the life excitement. We had a lot of workshops focused on Robotics, Hacking, Meditation and many more. A lot of gaming, biking, singing competitions were played there. One India is a one man army kind of event. It covers almost everything a college can share with us in form of extra curricular activities.
Exam structure is variable but strong. They make their students strong in all aspects. Sometimes you will have to take 2 examinations per day. which develops time management and pressure handling with a better context switching.
I did not opt for scholarship program, although there are a lot of them. Some plans are on 12th result. Some are for sports quota and most attractive plan is when they conduct a test for scholarship. Its a good way to test the skill and grant some relaxation to good candidates. Its kind of motivation which a students requires from beginning.
The College Canteen is a large spacious area, with a view of greenery all around, and a variety of refreshments and meals available. It tends to be the most popular place on campus, not only for physical refreshment but also for student bonding, discussions and even work on assignments and projects.

We don't find good gender ratio in engineering departments , its about 1 girl to 8 boys approximately. But in science or commerce departments it is better 1 girl to every 4 boys. Students organise their parties on their own outside the campus. Majority of students are north indians mainly of Haryana and Punjab. We have NSS ( National Service Scheme) which conduct workshops and organises camps like blood donation, clealiness drive and celebrates World Water Day, Environment Day etc which helps in bringing various factions of the society together. There is an equal proportion of students from urban and rural areas. We don't have any cultural societies but a student welfare office which takes care of cultural activities. Student elections have now been restored after a ban of almost 7 years. There are no reports of ragging as it is banned completely. Students are now very much aware about their rights and we don't see much disturbance.
Exam structure is fine according to me. We face two minor tests (20 marks each) of each subject during a semester. It is compulsory to pass at least one of them. We get enough holidays in semester exams to prepare, at least one holiday in between two exams. Written exams are of 70 marks containing 8 questions out of which we have to do any 5.Talking of labs, yes they are hectic because we have lab classes on daily basis. The time table is such that there are four lectures of 1 hr each and 2 labs of 2hr each which adds to 8 hours a day. I find it exhaustive. Final practicals also run all day long.
I went through CET examination which is state level exam and scored good rank and decided to be at my hometown and got admission in this college. There was no interview process at that time. I chose b.tech coz engineering was something which my passion was.
Expensive basically, but for students availing education scholarship it was feasible. Fees was more in engineering courses But fee waiver and scholarship tests to minimize the amount. Loan facilities also there less tension with banks.

This facility is also extended to alumni of CMR Group of Institutions. A dedicated Alumni Association of the college was initiated and administered for the Alumni.
College management should try and focus more on placements rather than building infrastructure one by one. They are expanding like anything but should also consider avg placements rate of the budding Professional else everything is good. They are trying to improve the quality of teaching which is a very good prospect. They are conducting more and more events as well.
It's a bit expensive I would say this is really too high the college management should see that they are not expecting much out of an average middle class person although I understand that the expenses are high it increasingly is creating an impact on the college management but they should consider middle class family which who is trying to pay for the students fees.
It arranges mock interviews, group discussions, series of aptitude tests, technical tests and HR interviews for students. It also coordinates industrial visits and student training. Significant to mention here is the fact that sizable number of students pursue higher education in India and abroad.

No complaints for alumni they all are very nice and helpful. All the alumni of our college is placed in a very good and reputed firms so they have a good connection in industry, In case any junior wants help from them they will help you at any cost.
I think the fees was very expensive. My college was providing very good facilities in every term so i think according to the facilities given by the college fees was quite good. Every college now days is taking high fees as engineering fees.
The faculty of the college was highly qualified. Most of the faculty were the product of the primer institutes of India like iit, nit, thapar etc. But some of them also were like they don't deserve to be teachers. They were not able to express themselves in front of students.
Campus life was okay okay. Gender ratio in my stream was more boys and less girls. There were many workshops. Every one was free to do what every they wanted no matter of ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientations, politics and economic status.
CMR has a full-fledged and proactive training and placement cell at the campus and we are proud to say that we have done campus placements with many blue chip corporate and other MNCs to our students which resulted in more than 400 offers for 2012 outgoing batch.

T&P cell was introduced with a vision to excel and to create a global opportunity for every student and ensure that his/her skills are properly identified and that students are oriented in the right direction. Placements have been initiated right from the first batch. Since then the department has been successful in inviting reputed companies every year for the selection of our students.
An International Students Division, which serves as a single point of contact for the international students for issues relating to visa, travel guidance, academic counselling or availing of student services on the campus. The seniors are also helping to juniors.
My admission is on the basis of my entrance exam rank Because i like the atmosphere and lots of opportunity their for better future infrastructure is almost fantastic lots of job opportunity their and sports were at it best.
Fee structure depend on the percentage you got in 12th. Also depend on your rank in entrance test and there was also sport quotas they give scholarship to the student who played any sport at national or state level.

They provide ebook on the topic which is not in the textbook. They prepare notes to teach if any student willing to want that notes they may consult the faculties.
We didn't go for internship. We did project and thesis work, There were option who want to go on internship and who want to do project and attend the sem But for choosing internship you must have 70 % marks and they also take interview regarding your internship topic to give permission for internship.
Most of the companies like to have budding professionals from the zero day slot and for this need, we have built up a strong corporate relation and tie up with top notch companies so that they can visit our campus for recruitment process and hire students as per their need.
As this is the era of globalization, the need of the hour is training individuals to excel in the face of challenges thrown up by a rapidly changing socio-economic-technological scenario at the global level. Placement and job opportunities are good. College is working really hard on it. I was placed in cognizant technology solutions. It was like a dream come true.
Yes apart from scholarship discussed above loan facility was also available to students who were interested for it. Scholarships were based on 12th score, aieee rank, sports scholarship and an exam conducted.
