Campus Life

The annual fest is utsav mainly held in May, the technical fest is Phase shift mostly held in December. They are okay overall. Not a lot of books are available in library. Also the ones that are available don't have a lot of copies which makes it difficult to get one during exams. Each class has a board and benches and table, some of the classes have a smart board as well . Only accessed by teachers. There isn't much sports activities in this college. The campus is too small ,same for the ground. There are 1-2 social clubs run by students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The overall course curriculum is outdated but some of the courses offered are really exciting and good. 1-2 courses prepare you for certain aspects of real world applications. The teaching method is outdated, they should try to work on it. The exams are held almost monthly. At times it gets a bit hectic. Some teachers hols a grudge against you and do not give fair marks.

Placement Experience

Hansraj College's active placements cell is managing both intenrships and placements. Mind you both are great as our college is known for giving students the core placements and therefore Mathematics Hons students are placed in companies where they can make the best use of their abilities and also in the role they are best suited.

Faculty

My word writing about faculties is like mentioning Gods as they are GOAT if not God. Teaching from them is not just the best but intended to help students understand and feel better about their academics. I have encountered almost 20 plus faculties now and will admit that camaraderie with all of them has been too good.

Campus Life

Campus life at Venky is a mixture of real life experiences and adventures. The peoole here are from differnet backgrounds which makes it even more diverse and alive. NEXUS is ths annual fest which is the most famous fest among delhi university. Last year the famous singer Javed Ali has srt the stage on fire and even the crowd is huge that people are watching over the metro bridge. There are dufferneg societies which anyone can join by filling their recruitment forms. If you are someone who is very shy and introvert and want to improve then these societies is for you. Beyond the academic its only the place for me where i feel great and myself. Everyone is very friendly and makes you feel at home. There is also library in our college and is pretty big very resourceful and if you are someone who is preparing for any professional exam then its the place for you. Delhi university provides ECA admission if you someone who is passionate about sports and in venky if you heard of Risabh pant he is from venky only. We have different sports and huge ground and badminton and tennis court.

Faculty

The college faculty is really vast and have associate and assistant professors. If i talk about the ratio then 3:5. Some teachers are really nice amd approaching but some are very rude and really don't care about the student. There is no specific department which i feel has really great faculty but its just fix of every department, teachers help student ro get research internship or if you have great or good connection with teachers they may give you full marks in internals. The EVS delartment is the worst dep of the college as they treat students like labour i mean 30+ practical and even if you complete all of them they treat you really bad. There is 2 exams semester wise one in December and other in May/June. The exams are based on the previous year question paper so its easy. Only a few studnets got ER(fail) but you can give the exam in the next year so no need to worry!

Faculty

The faculty at SBSC is genuinely committed to teaching and guiding students. Most professors are highly qualified and bring a mix of teaching methods — from PowerPoint presentations to old-school chalk-and-board explanations. The approachable nature of many teachers stands out; they are open to clarifying doubts after class and even guiding students on internships or higher education paths. For me, the value was in their ability to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, which made learning less mechanical and more interesting. The student–teacher ratio is manageable, so you never feel completely lost in the crowd. While every college has a few professors who may not click with all students, the majority at SBSC make a real effort to ensure classes are engaging and that students can actually understand and apply what they are learning.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my first year, the fees was around 13,000, second year it was 16,770 and 3rd year it was 20,370. So yes, fees has increased but there has been commensurate improvements in the collge, for eg, rennovation of classrooms, blocks, the ground is under construction, the library is fully air conditioned. Overall, the affordability is high as scholarships are offered to eligible students from poor backgrounds. Given the exposure and the environment and student culture at college, its highly affordable.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college also accepts CUET Scores as it is affiliated with DU. Unlike government or DU colleges like Hindu or the others we too have same syllabus but studying in a private college and that in the one which is specifically inclined towards management department is perhaps the best. So course same as DU but teaching definitely superior than DU top government college's.

Faculty

Their backgrounds from where they hail is enough to describe them as they come from top brass like IIMs and FMS. Also they have experience of a lifetime because some of our faculties are into this profession since late 90s. Professor Navneet Nishanth is my favourite professor who teaches the most complex subject in the most easiest way possible.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first year of my programme I paid ?8200.In which, programme fee was ?7700 developmental fees was ?200 registration fees was ?300 In the current year i.e second year I pas ? 6545. Hnece the total fees of my course is ?14745. This is bacause I belong to ST category and I avail for printed sources which gave a discount of 15%. Otherwise the fees is generally ?15400 for Master of Arts (Political Science). As it is a Open Distance Learning Programme there are no scholarship as of now.

Faculty

There is no faculty to teach the programme. You are given printed or online sources as you wish and is expected to study by yourself. You need to appear for exam once a year at the study centre. The assignments are compulsory and you need to submit them by yourself or post to your regional study center. The exams are easy and very few fails if they have not given the assignments.

Fees and Financial Aid

NIT Hamirpur has a fairly reasonable fee structure compared to private colleges, and the best part is that it remains stable without sudden hikes. For me (general category)as student the yearly cost is about ?2,06,200 including tuition, hostel, and mess, while in the first year it comes to about ?2,13,200 because of admission and caution charges. For SC, ST, PwD, and students from families with income below ?1,00,000 there is a full tuition fee waiver, so the total expense is around ?60,000 per year which covers hostel and other compulsory charges. For families with income between ?1,00,000 and ?5,00,000 two-thirds of the tuition fee is waived, so the yearly expense is about ?1,00,200. The institute also provides many scholarship opportunities such as merit-cum-means, Top Class Education for SC and ST, Kalpana Chawla scheme, Samsung Star Scholar, and various central and state government scholarships. These options ease the financial burden for deserving students, and many of my batchmates have benefited from them. Overall, the fee and scholarship system at NIT Hamirpur feels student-friendly and ensures that financial constraints do not become a barrier to pursuing education here.

Placement Experience

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Campus Life

Navrang is like a fest which has competition from various law field. Quizzes, Debates, and Eloquent to name some. The major event or the cultural extravaganza of NMIMS is indeed Fitoor. Campus mat not be grand but our newly built building is the grandest of all. It's big, and has all the attributes which makes academic and social life worthwhile.

Faculty

Our college is a pioneer in law because it has pioneer kind of faculties. Our exams are best suited as faculties make sure our syllabus is completed before 2 weeks and we are then given tutorials by them. Passing percentage here is over 90% because faculties teaching is such that passing exams hardly take some doing.

Fees and Financial Aid

During 11th, 12th my fees was 18000 and 15000 respectively beacuse I opted for IT subject. Tution fees is very nominal around 200 but other unecessary fees is more. After 12th i.e. for FY, SY, TY the fees is minimal for Bcom, but for other degrees its higher around 5000-7000 more than Bcom. For reserved castes the fees is very minimal close to half of that of open category. Compulsory unwanted charge is for gym which is like a kitchen size small. There is no financial aid by the college. If pursuing any professional courses then this is the college you need, just need to keep track on assignments and exams. No need to worry about attendance. For an average student the kt fees is also minimal. Teaching is good, teachers are supportive. Crowd is very bad, only some are decent. Office staff in not good. There is parking facility for two-wheelers and no parking for four-wheelers. You need very minimum passing percentage to avail admission, which is good for average students. Washrooms are bad for boys. Canteen facility is there.

Campus Life

There are various events held which are unnecessary . because of there events many lectures get cancelled. Many social events are held as other colleges. Library is good if you need your syllabus books but at a time only 1 can be borrowed. reading room is available to study. newspapers and magazines are available in library. for it a good computer classroom is available. for sports only NCC can be considered otherwise nothing is held. social groups are just waste of time.

Course Curriculum Overview

Some courses are not relevant to everyone. Moreover similar course during 1st year is not appropriate. Ee are just wasting time in subjects like biology and so on.another curriculum is good .also teaching methodology of proffssor are excellent.

We have two fests at our college and they are Navrang and Fitoor. Fitoor is our cultural fest and a lot of people like top celebs and all are called upon. Our campus is a lively building which consists of 8 floors and first 3 floors are law, 4th floor has canteen and auditorium. Next three floors are for performing Arts College and at the top floor we have library and our moot court.

Placement Experience

In our college placements start from fourth year and because top quality PPOs are provided due to intenrship we get placed easily. Also, we have various things to do at our campus when it comes to placements. Our CV has to be with atleast 8 internships done by the end of 4th year only then do we stand eligible for the same.

Relationship or camaraderie with my faculties has been amazing as I had an amazing time in the first year. Faculties kay have changed in the 2nd year but nonchalantly they are same as others which I have studied from in the first year. Miss Ayushi Angelina was my favourite faculty and i hop she takes few more subjects in the coming semester.

Campus Life

Our college don't have a huge infrastructure to boast but we do have something unique and that is two departments interntiwined as all our events and all are managed by management students. So team bonding and all is what I have learned at our campus. We have good classrooms and good library if not sone sports and activities centers.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got admitted in this college in convenor quota through AP-EAPCET 2022, with a rank of 18k. My Fee structure is pretty normal, 52,000 INR per year, and the other fees like library, laboratory, and development is 3000 INR, only the library and lab fees, students must pay i.e. 3000 INR, other than that, my course fee is completely reimbursed by the government. For management quota students, they charge 81,000 INR per semester, and this changes from year to year, and regulations, nobody, right from the first year to the final year, have the same fee structure. And my batchmates have different fees structures, because some of them got admitted through category-b other than management quota. For category-b( JEE Mains criteria, other criteria etc), they won't have any scholarships, and for the students who got admitted through convenor quota have scholarships i.e. JVD, Vasathi Deevana, and seperate scholarships for SC/ST students.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is comfortable, ensuring individual attention. Different styles of teaching methods are used and implemented, like for example, Jigsaw method, blackboards, PPTs, seminars. Encourages problem-solving and practical applications. I don't have specifically any issues with any of the faculty, so as to mention their names and highlighting the likes and dislikes, faculty do move with students in a friendly natureand motivating environment. For every semester, there will be weekly tests, two mid exams for theory subjects, and one internal exam for practicals, and end semester examinations. Hardly 4 - 5 percent of students fail to clear exams, who don't study and irregular to classes. The course curriculum is relevant as per to subject, friendly, and understandable.
