Kingston University London Admission Requirements for Indian Applicants 2027
Kingston University admission requirements for Indian applicants centre on Indian academic percentage or CGPA plus an English-language qualification accepted by the UK Home Office.
Postgraduate requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree: Three or four-year Indian bachelor’s with 55% or CGPA 5.5/10 (recommended); creative masters may accept 50% with a strong portfolio
- English proficiency: IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic or Duolingo English Test at Kingston University London’s programme-level minimum (verify at kingston.ac.uk)
- Standard documents: Statement of purpose, two references (one academic), CV and academic transcripts
- Programme extras: MBA needs 2+ years professional experience; MA Fashion needs a curated portfolio for MBA in United Kingdom applicants comparing career-pivot routes
Undergraduate requirements:
- Class 12 result: CBSE, ISC or state board with 70% to 85% depending on programme
- English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 to 6.5 overall or equivalent (verify programme-specific minimum on the official page)
- Foundation route: Kingston University London International Foundation Year offered where Class 12 scores fall below direct-entry thresholds
Note: Kingston University London may waive IELTS for Indian applicants whose Class 12 English score meets the Kingston-published threshold, or for those completing an English-medium bachelor’s programme. Confirm the waiver route on the official English-language requirements page before booking a test slot.
Kingston University London Acceptance Rate 2027
Kingston University London does not publish an official acceptance rate. The estimated acceptance rate for Indian applicants sits at 60-70% (estimated), in line with third-party admissions data on comparable UK modern universities.
Acceptance depends less on selectivity and more on meeting minimum academic and English thresholds. Postgraduate programmes in Business, Computing and Fashion see higher applicant volumes and closer review of the statement of purpose.
Reality check: A 60-70% acceptance band means most well-qualified Indian applicants receive an offer if they meet the published grade and English test minimums. Weak SoPs and missing academic references remain the top rejection reasons at Kingston University London.

Kingston University London vs Peer Universities
Kingston University London competes primarily with London-based modern universities offering similar tuition tiers and outer-zone London locations. The comparison below covers QS 2027, Collegedunia UK rank and average PG fee.
| University | QS Rank 2027 | Collegedunia UK Rank | Avg Annual PG Fee (£ / ₹ lakh) | Differentiator |

| University of Westminster | #700 to #750 (estimated) | verify at Collegedunia | £17,500 to £21,500 / ₹22.40 to ₹27.52 lakh (estimated) | Central London Zone 1 location |
| Middlesex University London | #700 to #800 (estimated) | verify at Collegedunia | £16,600 to £19,300 / ₹21.25 to ₹24.70 lakh (estimated) | Lower fee tier for taught masters |

Kingston University London differentiates on creative disciplines; Fashion and Textiles at #2 in Guardian 2026 gives it a subject-specific edge that peers do not match. On tuition, Kingston sits mid-band for outer-London modern universities, with Middlesex and Greenwich coming in slightly lower.
Kingston University London fits Indian applicants targeting creative, business or applied-technology masters in outer-London boroughs on a mid-range budget. Total investment of ₹44 to ₹58 lakh across tuition and living costs pairs with a median UK starting salary near ₹30 lakh, offset by the 2-year UK Graduate Route visa. The Guardian #2 Fashion and Textiles rank is the standout Indian-specific pull for MA Fashion candidates.
Kingston University London is not the pick for applicants targeting top-100 global QS positioning or central London Zone 1 campus life. Applicants prioritising a higher-ranked London modern university should compare Brunel University London on QS #480 (estimated) for engineering and STEM depth.
Kingston University London FAQs
Ques. What English-taught postgraduate programmes at Kingston University London are popular with Indian students?
Ans. Kingston University London’s most-applied postgraduate degrees for Indian students include MSc Data Science, MSc Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, MSc Artificial Intelligence, MSc International Business Management and the MBA at Kingston Hill. All programmes are English-taught. Creative masters such as MA Fashion and MA Illustration also draw significant Indian enrolment, particularly from design institutes including NIFT and Pearl Academy.
Ques. How many hours can international students work while studying at Kingston University?
Ans. The UK Student visa allows Kingston University postgraduate and undergraduate degree students to work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during vacation. Placements linked to the programme are treated separately. Working over 20 hours in term breaks the visa and can void Graduate Route eligibility, so tracking hours weekly matters.
Ques. Does Kingston University London require GRE or GMAT for postgraduate admission?
Ans. Kingston University London does not require GRE or GMAT for standard MSc programmes such as Data Science, Business Analytics or Cyber Security. The MBA at Kingston Hill does not require GMAT either; a strong professional CV of two-plus years plus a reference letter takes precedence. Confirm programme-specific requirements on each course page before submitting.
Ques. What is the Kingston University application fee for Indian applicants?
Ans. Kingston University does not charge an application fee for direct postgraduate applications submitted through the university’s own online portal. Undergraduate applications route through UCAS, which charges £28.50 for a single choice or £28.50 covering up to five choices in the 2027 cycle. The Kingston direct portal remains free of any application charge.
Ques. Which Indian education loan providers recognise Kingston University London?
Ans. Kingston University London appears on the approved-institution lists of major Indian education lenders including SBI Global Ed-Vantage, HDFC Credila, Avanse, Auxilo and ICICI Bank. Loan quantum typically covers full tuition plus 12 months of living expenses, up to ₹60 lakh with collateral or ₹40 lakh unsecured, subject to lender-specific caps and profile evaluation.
Ques. Can dependants accompany a Kingston University postgraduate student on the Student visa?
Ans. The UK removed dependant rights for taught postgraduate courses in January 2024; Kingston University taught masters students cannot bring a spouse or child on a Student dependant visa. Only PhD candidates and government-sponsored research masters retain dependant eligibility. Financial proof for the applicant alone must cover £1,483 per month for London courses under UKVI rules.
Ques. How does Kingston University London verify Indian academic transcripts?
Ans. Kingston University London accepts university-issued original transcripts and provisional degree certificates from Indian universities as standard proof of academic achievement. WES or apostille is not mandatory for most Indian bachelor’s degrees. Kingston’s admissions team cross-checks documents against the Naric UK country guide; where the Indian university is on the recognised list, no third-party verification is required.
Ques. Is a conditional offer common for Indian applicants at Kingston University London?
Ans. Yes, Kingston University London routinely issues conditional offers to Indian applicants pending final Class 12 board results, final-year bachelor’s marksheets or a qualifying IELTS score. The condition converts to unconditional once documents are uploaded and verified through the applicant portal. Conditional-offer holders may still request the CAS letter early once financial and English proof is submitted.

- I wish masters was for 2 years. Would have enjoyed the student life for another year
- It doesnt have college fest or cultural fest. So it was a limited experience
- There are hardly any on-capus placements for part time. Although you can work in cafe
Campus Life
- 4 campuses all connected with Free University Bus ride. Library is A-Class amenity and it's open 24 hours for the Kingston Students. My campus was Penrhyn Road Campus. However recently they have organized all the modules on different campuses so that you can experience studying on the different campuses.

Likes
- The university provides a very peaceful environment in which to study, and the students and faculty are quite helpful.
Dislikes
- What I dislike is the University could have provided a more application based courses rather than focusing on theory.
Campus Life
- Campus life is pretty good, friendly, research facilities are quite good and modern
Fees
- 17500 GBP
Dislikes
- Lack of placement opportunities. They emphasize placement so much on their website, but only one or two students secured decent placements out of 100.
Campus Life
- Decent campus life can be expected. If you are into something, there is a high chance a group exists for it, e.g., football, improv class.
Fees
- £15700 for a year
Likes
- Nice Environment: Nice and huge campus, and also outdoor spaces
- Multi-cultural: You will find people from all around the world, my class had people from Japan, China, Korea, India, Pakistan, the Middle East, and also some European countries.
- Library: I liked the library a lot, it has an enormous collection of Books.
Dislikes
- Not More Inclusive, College life here is not as you would expect in India.
- Less cultural, More study-focused.
- I shouldn't say I don't like this, but it is relatively difficult to get your degree on the first attempt.
Campus Life
- The biggest downside, if you ask me about my campus life, is that I have never seen any events or cultural activities at my university.
- Besides the sports, library, and medical facilities, PCs equipped with GPUs for doing AI and ML tasks are also available.
- The major club that was present was the students' union, and I had witnessed one Election. I had witnessed no sports, no extracurricular activities in my period.
Fees
- 17,000 Pounds had to be paid at least 50% before admission. And the rest had to be paid semester-wise in full; no Installments for International students.
- My intake was in September, and my semester finished in December. So by January, I had to pay the rest of the fees. You have to add your debit card account to the Link they send you or you can log in and see the remainder of the fees and link your debit card. they will auto-debit the amount on that specified date. for any reason or due to a low balance in the account, if the auto-debit fails, you will receive an email and they will reattempt it in 3 business days.

Campus Life
- Campus was very nice; we had like multiple campuses in town, mainly around 10-12 campuses, which included the library, which was the best, which had many facilities such as laptop loans, book loans, sports and medical help. We also had many educational and cultural fairs for networking too, where we used to brainstorm our ideas.

3. Roehampton vale campus for management
4. Knight campus for arts - For the facilities, the campus has everything, including the library gym prayer rooms, et cetera. in the library also have separate rooms for a group discussion. Does canteen as well so you can sit there take a break and eat something.
- For the festivals, there are a lot of festivals and events that are Our conductor by the faculty and the university by itself and there are various cultural events organised by the cultural heads of the societies
Fees
- For my course the tuition fees was £17,500 for full time one year masters degree. This doesn’t include hostel or any other accommodation fees
- The fees was charged semester wise. But you can pay it once as well. You can also pay it monthly by setting up Monthly Payment Plans.
- For me the rent was £500 including bills. I spent around £100 on my groceries. I spent £100 on travelling and miscellaneous items got to £50. So total is £750. This are not the exact figures but it’ll be more than this for sure

Campus Life
- My University has four campuses namely the Penryn Road Campus, Kingston Hill campus, Knight part Campus and Roehampton Vale Campus. We have dedicated infrastructure for each and every department.
- The Penryn campus has the largest library followed by all other campuses with respect to the department. There is Kingston Student Union conducting various events and festivals occasionally.
- We have Freshers week, Elevate and Campus placement fair and the career centre for future prospects.
- Sports activities are available only at the penryn road campus. But we need get some contacts to enter the sports team in kingston.
Fees
- My course has a tuition fee of 16900 pounds for international students. There is no extra charges hidden for books or lab facilities.
- We must pay a initial deposit of 5000 pounds to get the CAS statement required to file Student Visa. For the September 2024 intake, the fees can be paid in installments before January 16th.
- The monthly expenses are quite high as I stay in a private accommodation near to my campus. I pay nearly 700 pounds a month for rent excluding bills.
- The gas, electric and wifi bills sum up to 70 pounds. My university has regular bus facilities on working days. Its really helpful to travel to university for course work.
- For general bus transport its takes 3 pounds for each travel whereas 8.5 pounds for train travel. Hence, approximately 50 pounds might be spent in transportation.
