NSUT: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 28 Reviews

NSUT's admission process is managed through the JAC portal, involving institutions like NSUT, DTU, IGDTUW, and IIITD, based on JEE Mains scores and student preferences. The MPAE course has a diverse faculty that organizes guest lectures and supports internships, though large batch sizes limit personal attention. Tuition is approximately Rs. 6.5 Lac for a 4-year program, with fees rising as the college is no longer affiliated with DU. NSUT has a strong placement record, with over 300 companies like Facebook, Google, and Amazon visiting the campus.

The highest package offered has reached 1.06 Crore, while the average package ranges between 9 to 18 LPA, varying by branch. About 80-100% of students secure placements, notably high in the CSE department. Internships with stipends from tech companies are available from the 5th semester. Scholarships are offered for meritorious and economically weaker students, with department rankers receiving Rs. 40,000 annually. Merit, Merit-cum-Means, Minority, and Sports Scholarships, along with government schemes, provide financial aid.

Annual tuition fees are approximately Rs. 2 lakh, increasing by 10% each year, totaling Rs. 7.5 to Rs. 8.94 lakh over four years. Despite high fees compared to IITs and NITs, the investment is justified by strong placement outcomes.

NSUT: 1 Answered Question

Are courses in DTU and NSIT flexible? Can students from lower branches study a minor in C.S. easily?

Akriti Banerjeelives in New Delhi

As an NSUT student, the new CBCS (choice based credit system) allows you to choose your fields of study. This makes for more flexible courses. Also, NSUT has an excellent coding environment which will help you for your minor in Computer Science. Many students over there pursue coding, despite being from a branch other than IT/COE.

In DTU, you will have electives starting from 5th semester. These are department and general electives. IIIT Delhi offers the most flexible courses. Other than some fixed category credits, all the subjects are choice based.

Thus, in terms of providing flexible courses, this is the order of preference- IIITD> NSUT>DTU.
