NSUT MBA Admission 2026

NSUT MBA Admission 2026 is conducted through the Common Management Admission Committee (CMAC), which manages MBA admissions for DTU, NSUT, and IGDTUW. NSUT offers 75 of the 420 MBA seats available through the CMAC admission process. MBA admissions are based on CAT or MAT scores, followed by a Personal Interview conducted by CMAC.

NSUT MBA Admission Dates 2026

The admission process is currently in its final stages, with seat allotment and admissions being finalized by CMAC. Here are the key dates:

Event Date
CMAC Application Opens April 17, 2026
CMAC Application Last Date May 17, 2026
Personal Interview Stage June 1 to 5, 2026
Academic Session Begins As per the university academic calendar

The dates mentioned above are tentative and subject to change.

NSUT MBA Eligibility Criteria 2026

Criteria Requirement
Qualifying Degree Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university
Minimum Marks - General/OBC/EWS 60% aggregate
Minimum Marks - SC/ST 50% aggregate
Entrance Exam CAT (Priority 1) or MAT (Priority 2)
Final Year Candidates Eligible to apply, subject to degree certificate submission later

Minimum score to be considered: CAT 30 percentile (General), 20 percentile (OBC/EWS), 16 percentile (SC/ST). MAT 50 percentile (General), 40 percentile (OBC/EWS), 30 percentile (SC/ST). These are minimum eligibility thresholds, not selection cutoffs.

NSUT MBA Selection Criteria 2026

CMAC shortlists candidates based on CAT or MAT scores, with CAT given first preference and MAT considered only if seats remain vacant. Shortlisted candidates are called for a PI, and the final merit list is prepared using CAT/MAT score (70%) and PI performance (30%).

Key Points:

  • Registration Fee: INR 1,500 (single CMAC application for DTU, NSUT, and IGDTUW).
  • Seat Confirmation: Candidates allotted a seat must pay a part admission fee of INR 1,00,000 within 2-3 days of allotment.

Key insight: The CMAC CAT cutoff is a minimum eligibility bar, not a selection guarantee. With 75 NSUT MBA seats and candidates from across India applying, actual competitive percentiles are higher than the minimum. Focus on a strong PI performance to improve your merit rank within the CMAC pool.

How to Apply for MBA at NSUT?

  1. Apply online at cmacadmissions.com. One application covers DTU, NSUT, and IGDTUW.
  2. Upload your CAT or MAT scorecard and all academic documents.
  3. Attend the Personal Interview as scheduled by CMAC.
  4. Check merit list and seat allotment on the CMAC portal.
  5. Pay the part admission fee of INR 1,00,000 within the deadline to confirm your seat.

NSUT: 4 Answered Questions

What is admission procedure to get admission into DTU and NSIT?

Vikas Hariharan
Palak GoyalLives in New Delhi

NSUT and DTU are prestigious engineering colleges of Delhi. To get admission into any of them, you will have to clear the JEE Mains exam with a good All India rank.

After obtaining your rank and learning about the cutoffs for the year, you’ll have to fill out the JAC Delhi form. It is made available around the same time as the announcement of JEE Advanced. You’ll get a month to fill out the form. In the form, you’ll have to fill out your choice of colleges in the order of preference.

You’ll get the best option according to your rank, from among the colleges/branches you select. Fill out this form with utmost care. You’ll be allotted your college on the day of JAC Delhi counseling. It is important to note that NSUT, DTU and IIITD reserve 85% of their seats for students who complete their +2 from Delhi NCT, and only 15% seats are made available for outsiders.

Is it a big deal to study in NSIT?

Himanshu Pathaklives in Chandigarh, India

No , honestly, after going through so much hard work and finally getting admission into NSUT, my brother realized that it wasn’t a big deal at all.

  • Except for the IT and Mechanical departments, the classrooms are ordinary with no modern facilities.
  • Hostels have no wifi connection The funds are misused. Instead of organizing fests and funding societies every year a path of greenery is added.
  • The teachers focus more on the attendance of students rather than delivering concepts excellently.
  • The college is surviving solely because of its affiliation with DU.
  • The research culture is inactive and only a few teachers and researchers are genuinely focused.
  • Apart from COE and IT, all other branches have heavy workloads with poor placements and internships.
  • The institute does not offer any modern courses like machine learning, artificial intelligence, image processing, computer vision, data science etc

In all, you will be very disappointed when you end up in an institute like NSUT after going through sleepless nights to clear JEE. So don’t believe the rumors and fall for the fake brand image NSUT has built to attract students.
