Ques. Which is better, SRM, Manipal, DTU, or NSIT?

● Top Answer By Priyadarshini Sen on 02 Jun 21

Ans. DTU and NSUT come under Delhi State Government and are Tier 1 colleges. SRMIST and MIT are Tier-2 colleges and both are Deemed-to-be universities. Category SRM MANIPAL DTU NSIT Total Fee 2-15 lakh 9.85-17.06 lakh 2.97-8.44 lakh 8.44 lakh Companies Visited Amazon, CISCO, Google, etc. Deloitte, Forbes, IBM, etc. Samsung, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. Amazon, Samsung, Adobe, etc. Highest Package 22.5 LPA 15 LPA 9-13 LPA 21 LPA Average Package 12 LPA 4.5 LPA 7-8 LPA 10-11 LPA If you wish to pursue B.Tech in CSE, IT, ECE, and ICE, then you should go for NSUT as it has an excellent coding culture. It also has a dedicated student crowd, a good alumni network, and an excellent placement record when compared to many other NIT’s for these same branches. On the other hand, if you want to do Engineering in core branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or any other subcategory like the Automobile, DTU is considered as a better option for such core branches MIT and SRM are regarded as the top Tier 2 colleges as they have a good placement record and an excellent infrastructure.  Overall, DTU and NSUT are better than MIT or SRM in alumni network, placements, crowd, reputation as well as return value.Read more

Ques. Among NIT Delhi, DTU, and NSUT, which one is better in terms of placement?

● Top Answer By Damini Punia on 15 May 21

Ans. When it comes to comparing between these colleges, you should know that NIT Delhi is not in the same leagues as NSIT and DTU. NIT Delhi is a relatively newer institute and did not have a campus of its own for quite some time.  The following points are based on my interaction with various friends studying at these institutes: DTU has a really good placement record as far as the core branches are concerned. The mechanical branch here is considered to be the best in Asia.  If you are interested in computer-related placements, NSIT has better placements as it has low competition and better proximity to Gurgaon. On the other hand, DTU will have a lot of high competition because of its large intake. This is almost double that of NSIT so you will have to beat more students to get your dream placement. This is not the case in NSIT. You will see fewer branches and hence, you will face less competition. At NSIT, you will see that a Delhi University degree is provided to you. This is will increase your chances of bagging a job off-campus if you plan to do so.  If you compare NSIT and DTU, the placements depend on your branch as well as the GPA you score at the end of the 6th semester. The following table shows the overall placement statistics at these institutions: Particulars DTU NSUT NIT Delhi Highest Package 13 LPA 1.25 crore 39 LPA Average Package 7.2 LPA 7.75 LPA 9.8 LPA Total Recruiters 100+ 172 40 Being a fresher, you will always be lured towards the placement packages. However, in reality, no one really knows the actual packages offered at the institutes.Read more

Ques. Which is better NSUT IT or PEC CSE for a Chandigarh student?

● Top Answer By Anuj Arora on 30 Apr 21

Ans. Both PEC Chandigarh and NSUT Delhi are quite reputed among students. Here is a subjective comparison of the two institutes based on different factors.  Now, let's break this answer into a few parts to help you decide: Course: (NSUT~PEC Chandigarh) If we give a check, both the fields CSE and IT are equally good. Both offer a good number of opportunities for placement and higher studies. Campus: (NSUT>PEC Chandigarh) Well, both the colleges are beautiful and aesthetic. But, NSUT stands out as it is located in a proper metro city where you will see a lot of places to visit and roam around, learn. Brand Value and Exposure: (NSUT>>PEC Chandigarh) This is a sure thing that the kind of exposure you get in Delhi is immense and captivating as you can find a plethora of opportunities. This is because of the presence of other good engineering colleges like IITD, DTU, IIITD, etc. The brand value of NSUT is better than PEC.  Placements: (NSUT~PEC Chandigarh) This is a very subjective view and both the colleges will give you numerous opportunities to bag good placement offers. Parameters  Average CTC Highest CTC PEC  10.2 LPA 42 LPA NSUT 7.75 LPA 1.25 Cr So, go through the information given above and choose the institute that suits you best.Read more

Ques. Which one should I choose, NSIT CSE or NIT Surathkal IT branch or MNNIT Allahabad CSE knowing that I stay in Delhi?

● Top Answer By Aman Rao on 29 Apr 21

Ans. Few of my friends study in NSIT COE, who have left top NITs and CSE programs for NSIT COE.  In the following table, you will get the basic information about NSIT CSE, NIT Surathkal IT branch, and MNNIT Allahabad CSE. Category NSIT CSE  NIT Surathkal IT MNNIT CSE Fees INR 1.90 Lakh (1 year) INR 1.85 Lakh INR 6.55 Lakh Recruiters  Collabra, Okaya Infocom, NIIT Ltd, Manlift, Sun Vacuum, Car Dekho, Grifeo, Waisko Molding Pvt LTD. Reliance Industries, Pidilite Industries, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Hikal, Hindustan Unilever Ltd  Visa, Amazon, Adobe, Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Oracle  Highest CTC INR 16 LPA INR 49 LPA INR 18.2 LPA Average CTC INR 50 LPA INR 22 LPA INR 7 LPA The following points will give you a more clear picture of the institutes: Location: NSIT is located in the capital city of India. This gives plenty of opportunities to students to get placed in top companies. All the top companies come for a campus placement here. You can also visit nearby places on college off days. Placement: The placement record of the COE branch is very good. That makes the cut-offs high. Also, the culture of coding in NSIT is pretty serious. You will be every second student doing the coding. Opportunities: There are various institutes in Delhi for CAT/GRE/GATE, that will help you in clearing these exams. Also, there are various coding institutes like Blocks, Coding Ninja, Pepcoding, etc. These will help you polish your skills, and help you secure good packages. Near to Home: You can also enjoy your hostel life and home life. During exam days, you can visit home to concentrate on your studies.  Therefore, if you are thinking of joining the Netaji Subhas University of Technology then go for it. As there are several advantages of joining the NSIT COE branch. Also, in the long run, your skills matter, not from which college you have studied.Read more

Ques. Which one is better: DTU, NSIT or IIIT Delhi?

● Top Answer By Sandip Pal on 16 Apr 21

Ans. For candidates who are interested in research, innovation, and higher studies, IIIT Delhi is definitely a better choice among the three. But students, who are interested in placement, infrastructure, and college life, should prefer NSIT or DTU for an engineering degree.  There are several reasons to support my choice - In IIIT Delhi, there is more workload in engineering, compared to other institutes. But, even after having such a curriculum, the placement statistics are not as good as DTU or NSIT. With an increasing batch size in IIIT Delhi, there is a significant fall in placement percentage at the institute.  In 2020, there is a 38% full-time offer for 2021 graduates and 19% internship offers for 2022 graduates, in a batch size of 310 and 382 respectively. The incoming batch comprises 524 students, which may create a further shortage in placement. In IIIT Delhi, every company visiting the campus for placement allows CSE, CSAM, and ECE branches and almost 75% of them allow CSD, CSB, and CSSS. Although there is a downfall in placement percentage at DTU and NSIT due to the COVID pandemic, they are still in a better position than IIIT Delhi. Students in IIIT Delhi, have no proper placement guidance they have to prepare themselves, with their normal course work. Students succeeding can get a good placement in IIIT Delhi. For students in NSIT and DTU, the first two years are critical in which they need to improve their skill-set. Institutes like DTU and NSIT have an extensive alumni base and a brand value, better for a corporate reach. There are no non-tech companies that visit IIIT Delhi during placements. Due to the difficult curriculum in IIIT Delhi, getting a good GPA score is much harder for students, than students in NSIT or DTU.  Students of NSIT or DTU study two weeks before the semester to get a decent GPA score, but for IIIT Delhi, students need to work from the first day of the class. NSIT and DTU provide several extra-curricular activities like cultural and sports events. IIIT Delhi, on the other hand, is a growing institute, but still is making up a good place in these events, with a lot of enthusiasm and participation of students. Therefore, considering the opportunities in research and having an extensive curriculum and course structure, IIIT Delhi is definitely one of India’s best institutes. But for enjoying college life and getting a good placement at the same time, DTU and NSIT should be considered.Read more

Remarks :

I have cleared jee-main with 97.2 percentile in 2020, and then I filled JAC Delhi form to get admission to Delhi engineering colleges. As I m a general category so there is not any quota. To get admission to Delhi college you have to get 96+ percentile in the general category. So, I got admission to NSUT by JAC Delhi and yes there is three days of counselling where they provide all information about the college, placement, infrastructure etc.

Remarks :

NSUT, Delhi, formerly NSIT, Delhi is an engineering college based in Dwarka, New Delhi. The atmosphere of this college is very studious, and one will eventually start to enjoy studying in the library, classes, etc. Classes are a little old, especially in the old blocks, but the newer blocks like NB and Ambedkar Lecture hall are very nice and AC. The library and Student Activity Center are also AC and spacious. The grounds are big, and many people can play at the same time. Admission is done through JAC Delhi, which also handles admissions to DTU, IGDTUW, and IIITD. The process generally starts in June-end to July first week, and continues till the second week of August, although classes start in the first week of August. There is a centralized portal (imsnsit) where all notices and circulars are posted. Also, they email you and there is also a telegram channel for important messages.

Remarks :

So I selected this college due to its placement records which are being recognized throughout the country. In addition to it when I joined this college it was not a crowded one and an ample amount of resources were there over one head. The bad aspect was that there were no ample resources, particularly for mechanical engineering. This college was being preferred by me considering that it is situated in a metro, plus the placement prospects are good in spite of being lagging in the core engineering fields. Yes, I referred to collegedekho and shiksha.com.

Remarks :

To be very precise the first thing I like about NSUT, which was NSIT, a part of Delhi University at that time when I got admitted in it, is the campus structure and the greener shades in this college which makes it a serene campus to spend your time. The classrooms are very good including the smart classrooms and proper maintenance to talk about. To talk about the new student blocks and centers that have been made on the campus gives a very good feeling when you enter into them and makes us feel more confident. Talking about the admission process, it was quite cool and smooth, and at my time it was around the 3rd or 4th of July in 2017. I had other options too for admissions like DTU and all but I chose this college over others as first it was affiliated to Delhi University which is a renowned university, and I loved the campus and its parks. Secondly, as I was told that NSIT was and is very active in the research domain. Bad aspect about this college are the labs that are not very good

Remarks :

Placements and the lush green campus is the only good thing in Nsut and except this everything counts in bad and the behaviour of administration is even worst. Peoples get to know about the exam schedule one or two days before the exam day even the teachers don't know about that. And for classes there is only one modern block which is the APJ block which is only for first year students and others there is old style classes the typical government college type where all the fans even don't work. The library is also good, the books are almost irrelevant but the noise cancellation is praiseworthy. But on the other side the playgrounds are not enough for even 1 branch. Only one court for badminton 2 for basketball and only one cricket ground. Grounds are well maintained but the only badminton court present is also open air. One more thing which is praise worthy is Cleanliness is well maintained everywhere.

Remarks :

My college is good in placements and also have a strict environment for studies so that all students should focus on their studies and exploring new things, But it is too strict that a normal student can't explore much, It takes student by their JEE mains percentile through JAC counseling, as on the normal conditions that are before covid JAC counseling starts in June and it has 6 normal rounds and 3 spots round and 1 special spot around, it takes about 1.5 - 2 months.

Impressive placements. Because of Delhi location, all major companies visit the campus. Teachers are good and helpful. I joined because of reasonable fees but they kept increasing it every year. The college isn't student-friendly at all. There are no complaint forums.

Admission :

No, it was done via JoSAA and admission was based on the cumulative JEE main tank and boards percentage. The process for admission I already discussed above. There was no preparation just stream allotment on the basis of rank and choice. Similar to what happens for IITs.

Remarks :

I wanted Computer/IT which I was getting in NSIT. Also it was close to my house so that was a plus. Admission process was simple. Apply on josa website and select your branches and wait for the results. After that go to the college for multiple rounds and if you're getting what you want, freeze your choice else keep it on floating.

Remarks :

Pros: Good brand name. amazing placement for tech-related fields, worldwide recognition, entrepreneurship opportunities, in-college incubator program with government funding for startups, ample parking space, good connectivity via public transport, scholarship for meritorious candidates, ample space for outdoor sports activities. Cons: Rigid administration, Strict attendance structure, Students have to study on their own - very few supportive faculty, unnecessary fines, and challans, long college hours 8 am - 6 pm. Admission process: JEE mains score and then JAC counselling afterwards. Dates: June-July (tentatively) Reason for preferring this college: Good Infrastructure, Ease of access, Brand name, Good Placements, Startup Incubator. Used Collegedunia to get access to previous year cut-off scores.

How to get admission in b.e in NSIT??

G
garima bansal
Hi Anjali, Admission for BE is based on a valid score in JEE Main followed by counselling (JAC). On the release of merit list, selected candidates must take part in admission counselling conducted jointly by IGDTUW, DTU and NSIT. Admission will be finalized only after verification of all the relevant documents and payment of the required fees.

"NSUT - my college"

I have cleared jee-main with 97.2 percentile in 2020, and then I filled JAC Delhi form to get admission to Delhi engineering colleges. As I m a general category so there is not any quota. To get admission to Delhi college you have to get 96+ percentile in the general category. So, I got admission to NSUT by JAC Delhi and yes there is three days of counselling where they provide all information about the college, placement, infrastructure etc.

"Netaji Subhash University of technology (best college )"

I like this college very much because here teachers are very friendly, they solved doubts of students any time .and I prefer this college because of placement and infrastructure, for admission I cleared jee main then I fill JAC Delhi form to get admission in NSUT. Then in the fourth round, I got mechanical and my jee rank is 32238. I can get electrical but my parents froze my seat so that's why I got mechanical but I happy to get it.

"Come here for studying"

The process generally starts in June-end to July first week, and continues till the second week of August, although classes st
