Yes. A valid JEE Main 2026 rank is mandatory for all B.Tech admissions at NSUT. Seat allotment happens exclusively through JAC Delhi counselling. No other route exists for B.Tech admission.

Does NSUT offer management quota or direct B.Tech admission?

No. NSUT does not offer management quota or direct admission for B.Tech. Every seat fills through JAC Delhi counselling on JEE Main merit. All students, regardless of background, go through the same centralised process.

What is the eligibility for NSUT B.Tech 2026?

Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English from a recognised board. General category candidates need 60% aggregate in PCM. Reserved category candidates need 55% aggregate. A valid JEE Main 2026 rank is also required. There is no age limit.

What is the domicile condition for the Delhi-region quota at NSUT?

85% of NSUT B.Tech seats go to Delhi-region candidates through the Home State quota. To qualify, a candidate must have studied Class 11 and 12 from a school located within Delhi. The remaining 15% Other State quota seats are open to all candidates across India.

What is the application fee for JAC Delhi 2026 counselling?

The JAC Delhi 2026 registration fee is INR 1,500. It is non-refundable. This single fee covers all five JAC participating institutions: NSUT, DTU, IGDTUW, IIITD, and DSEU. Candidates pay it once while registering on the JAC Delhi portal.

Which exams does NSUT accept for MBA admission 2026?

NSUT MBA admission 2026 is through CMAC. CMAC accepts CAT 2025 as the first priority and MAT 2025/2026 as the second. Candidates who cross the score threshold attend Personal Interview. If seats remain vacant after the CAT/MAT rounds, CMAC may also consider CUET or CMAT scores.

What is the total fee for B.Tech at NSUT 2026?

The total B.Tech fee at NSUT for the complete 4-year program is INR 11.29 Lakhs. Annual fee is approximately INR 2.82 Lakhs. The fee structure is the same across all 25 B.Tech specialisations.

What GATE score is needed for NSUT M.Tech admission?

NSUT M.Tech admission is merit-based on GATE rank within each specialisation. No fixed minimum GATE score is published by NSUT. Candidates without a GATE score can appear for the NSUT-conducted written test. Eligibility requires at least 60% in the relevant B.Tech/B.E. degree (55% for reserved categories).

Can final-year students apply for NSUT MBA or M.Tech?

Yes. Final-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply for NSUT MBA and M.Tech 2026. They must provide the degree certificate after results are declared. Seat confirmation is subject to meeting the minimum qualifying marks at the time of document verification.

What scholarships are available for NSUT students?

NSUT offers the CVSPK Merit Scholarship (top 5% students get full tuition waiver) and the CVSPK Financial Welfare Scheme (income-based fee assistance for families earning up to INR 8 Lakhs annually). Delhi Government Post-Matric scholarships are available for SC, ST, and OBC candidates who are Delhi residents. A Single Girl Child fee concession is also offered by NSUT.

if you have both Delhi state quota AND defence quota, here's how it works at DTU/NSUT:

Delhi state quota: 85% of seats at DTU, NSUT, IIIT Delhi reserved for students who passed 12th from Delhi schools. significantly lowers the required rank.

Defence quota: separate 5% horizontal reservation for children/dependents of defence personnel (serving/retired/ex-servicemen) at these colleges. this is across all categories.

when you have both Delhi state + defence quota combined: your effective competition pool is very small — you're competing only against other Delhi-domicile defence quota candidates. the cutoff rank for this specific category is significantly lower than the regular Delhi quota.

realistic AIR for DTU via Delhi+Defence quota:

DTU CSE: students with both quotas have gotten in with JEE Main ranks in the 5,000-15,000 range (vs. ~1,500-2,000 for general Delhi quota)
DTU ECE/EE: even higher ranks possible, sometimes 20,000-40,000 range
