# JEE Mains 2025 – 98.7%ile (~20,000 CRL) | Need Help Shortlisting Colleges Hi everyone, I recently appeared for **JEE Mains 2025** and secured a **percentile of \~98.7**, which gives me a **CRL rank around 20,000** (± a few ranks). I’m trying to figure out the best possible options I have, especially after **JoSAA** and **CSAB** rounds, and would love to hear your thoughts. # Branch Preferences * I don’t have a strict branch preference, but I’d **prefer a 4-year circuital branch** (CSE, ECE, EE, etc.). * **Not keen on non-core branches** like Civil or Mining for various reasons (interest, placements, etc.). * Open to flexible or interdisciplinary options if the college reputation and peer group are strong. Colleges I’ve Shortlisted So Far 1. **IIITs** – Mixed opinions here. Some (like IIIT Gwalior, Jabalpur, etc.) seem promising, but I’m unsure about long-term value vs. NITs. 2. **DTU (EE)** and **NSUT (ECE)** – Hoping for upgradations here through later rounds. 3. **NITs** – I want to avoid most North Eastern ones due to location concerns, but **NIT Silchar** is still under consideration. 4. **BIT Mesra** – Again, mixed reviews. Good brand but varied placement reports. # Not Considering * **VITEEE** – Got around 7,000 rank but not planning to join (too many concerns around transparency, fees, and value). * **Private Tier-2 colleges** unless absolutely necessary. # What I Need Help With * Which **IIITs/NITs are worth it** at this rank? Any hidden gems? * Should I **prefer DTU/NSUT over newer IIITs/NITs**? * Any colleges I might have **missed** that are **underrated but great** for ECE/EE/CSE? * Is **BIT Mesra** worth considering for CSE in 2025? * Would it be smarter to **wait for CSAB** rounds or lock in something safer early? Any genuine feedback, suggestions, or personal experiences are appreciated. Hello Everyone, I am Class 12 student transitioning to college, I’ve worked hard for two years and secured a 6XXX rank in JEE Main. However, I lack confidence for JEE Advanced since I haven’t prepared for it during this time. SO Based on my JEE Main rank, which college should I choose? Small Correction:- I am getting CSE(with Specialisation) in NSUT.......

I want to do BTech in ECE and my options are: MNIT Allahabad IIIT Allahabad DTU NSUT NIT Delhi MNIT Jaipur VNIT Nagpur Rank them from best to worst for ECE branch

Getting MNC in NSUT, might get it in DTU as well if I get lucky enough. Couldn't find much information regarding it on internet as it is a relatively newer branch. So had few questions:- 1. My maths is the weakest among the trio. I actually suck at integral calculus at jee level. Should I avoid it? 2. How much theory part would be of maths in overall syllabus? Will I be able to do "computation" as well? 3. Will it be worth it to take it over ECE? 4. Should I consider IIIT CS/IT in place of this as well? I am more interested in software placements. But I haven't explored core as well so idk.

Koi or government college btao with good placements other than iits nits iiits dtu nsut etc

I got civil engineering in Nsut and cse in rvce .which one should I choose so that I can get a good placement and can develop myself in other fields too

myquals: I am moving to 3rd year and sem will start this month. I am in a core branch in NSUT. I have no relevant tech skills yet and I am very scared and confused. I tried to get into tech properly in 2 year but was overwhelmed with amount of information that I kept on silently procrastinating on it, jumping from one stuff to another without knowing anything properly. I wasted a lot of my time in tech teams, but they didn't even the competition so I don't even have that as something I can show in my resume.I am preparing for GATE CS too, as I want to study core CS, I am really interested in it. But that is very theoretical, and I have no idea how I will manage, GATE, skill building and college studies all in one year.My resume is empty and that scares me a lot. If GATE doesn't work out, I have to go after placements, but I am losing hope in getting a tech role.
