K L University (KLU), the Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, offers a four-year, full-time B.Tech in nine branches at its Vaddeswaram campus in Guntur district. You get in through KLEEE, the university's own exam, or through JEE Main or AP and TS EAMCET, with 60% in Class 12 Physics, Chemistry and Maths. KLU B.Tech Eligibility

You need 60% in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. You also need a KLEEE rank, a JEE Main score or an AP or TS EAMCET rank. Every branch uses the same rule, so your marks never limit which branch you can ask for.

You pay the admission fee of INR 16,000 after counselling to confirm your seat. Before that, you apply online, write KLEEE or use your JEE Main or EAMCET score, and list your branches at counselling. KLU decides the branch; you report on campus with your papers.

KLU B.Tech Scholarships

The biggest waiver is 50% of tuition, for a KLEEE rank up to 100 or a JEE Main percentile of 97 or more. SC and ST students get INR 10,000 a year. You get only one university scholarship at a time. To keep a merit waiver after year 1, you need CGPA 9.0 in CSE, AI and DS, ECE and Biotechnology, or 8.0 in the rest, with no backlogs.

Counsellor's advice

If your KLEEE rank is up to 1,500, take CSE and keep CGPA 9.0 for the waiver. If money is tight, pick EEE, Mechanical or Civil. Their fee is lower, and the waiver needs only CGPA 8.0.
