- Scholarship: this college have really great facility of scholarships for needy people.
- Faculty to student ratio is great and small strength class provide a great personalized experience and teaching to students .

- I think that they lag in their way of teaching.
- Hostel condition especially for the first year hostel which is provided that is shivalik hostel is worst
- Staff is not so good. they take extra classes and non of the things they explain are clear

- The campus is small as compared to nis and iits .the study of first year is on the old curriculum that is boring and sometimes of no use .Thats was the thing I don't like about the pec
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is very old. Faculty was teaching us the old stuff that's does not relate with the ongoing curriculum or technology used around us. And sometimes there are also the courses which are not used for the engineering field for example there is a subject ed which was not essential for the electronics or CSE students.

- The college is very old around 100 years and has a great aluminai network
- The college is in the chandigarh city itself and has a good location not even great but a very good
- College’s socity and clubs are top notch and i can see that they are best from all nits
Dislikes
- PEC is govt own college so there is a large amount of corruption that makes all works not good.
- The govt closed at 10 in the night i think that college should be all night open
- At some point i find that the fee is too high for the hostels

In the college there is great oppertunities are there for placement and college provides intership in third year. The placement in civil is bad it is about 25% and if you look from circital branch then it is about 13lakh average

- Fellow students: people around here are really helping and into different things.
- Aspirations people: people here are into more of study, sports or career related things unlike most pvt colleges
- Freedom: for boys, u can go out anytime(unofficially) and u can even return from main gate at even 12 in midnight, guards generally don't say anything
Dislikes
- Infrastructure: its dead, very less and old infrastructure as compared ro iits and other clgs.
- A lot of people do smoke and drink but they will never bother u and are never doing it in public and don't force it on anybody.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I am in first year and first year is same for all branches, so I don't know a lot about electrical engineering specifically. But of what I have heard from seniors, electrical branch is more difficult, and in pec u get not that many core companies. While u get a lot of finance, IT, coding etc companies.

- I love the nature in the college. it's full of trees
- I love the architecture too .it gives quite an old feeling
- I love the classrooms too which are quite good

- I didn't like the Hostels very much..They should be more clean
- The mess food is good but it's kinda expensive
- The washrooms in the hostel too are not good
Course Curriculum Overview:
The courage curriculum is quite good sometimes it feels a bit heavy in terms of portion when compared it to the syallabus that we are having in few subjects and the labs shouldn be properly equipped as well

- There are no restrictions on the college campus and most of the campus is clean always.
- There are 3 different big field for football, cricket and Athletics. There are also indoor gym and badminton hall.
- There is a small pec market inside the campus which works as canteen.
Dislikes
- Due to no female reservation, the gender ratio is bad. My class has 1:11 girls:boys ratio
- Most of the student dont take the club activites seriously
- There is a division between the hostel student and the local day scholars
Placement Experience:
The placements are okay okay. Not very bad but not that great too. This year 40% are students of the 25 batch are placed with highest package of 52LPA. The average sallary is about 16LPA and the placements of lower branchers like Metta and production are also good with highest packagae of 20LPA each

- Shiwalik hostel (1st year hostel)food is very poor

Many reputated companies like JP Morgan Goldman Sachs Google Facebook provide internship and job offers to students. Highest package for 2024 is 52 lakhs with avrerage package of 18 lakhs and want to do PHD after Btech

Placements in our college is a decent one but it has also degraded over the time and also the good companies like Google , microsoft , many companies come to the college and this is what makes the average high for this college

- I liked the greenery in the campus. Everywhere you can see the plants and trees. You can feel the fresh air in the campus.
- PEC Market is a market in our campus, where you can find shops related to everything you needs in college life. There are some stationary shops, eating shops ( fast food and all ), barber, bank and ATM too. A dispensary is also there in the market.
- PEC has very good and experienced staff. Even some has written books on their subject. Each classroom has 3 projectors and professors uses it in a beneficial way.
Dislikes
- I am disappointed with the hostel, I'm in first year and my hostel is old. Rooms are not in good condition and mess food is not very well. Washrooms are not well maintained.
- College infrastructure is not very good. As PEC is more then 100 years old so infrastructure looks very old. During labs many experiment kits doesn't work. But renovation has started and I think it would be much more better in upcoming years.
- I'm a first year student and I can say that classes schedule is very hectic. Some days you have classes at 8 AM to 5 PM with 1 hour break. It is very hectic for a student to attend and stay active in all the classes.
Placement Experience:
Placements of PEC are very good. It beats many top tiers engineering colleges of India in terms of placement. From 7th semester you can sit for placement. Companies starts visiting your college in 7th semester. You can also get a internship offer in 5th semester as many companies visits the college for interens. Many companies visited PEC in 2023 and made nearly 518 offers which was the highest no of offers made in the last 5 years. Highest package of 2023 was 83 lacks and average package was 16.71 lacks. Different companies gives different salary and package. Around 70-75% of students get placed every year, this data could vary year to year. My plans after getting the degree is to get a good job.

- Some subject we not need like engineering drawing for our course
- Structure of campus, means is old time construction

When I see that the Data science course is. Good and have good placement offers in this college I like to take it. Placement is good

- The hostels are a mess ,the almiras are broken
- The mess food us tooo oily,and taste is ok
- The boy girl ratio tooo low, although boys are best

The placement are decreasing yearly maybe dur to recession but average and median packages are ok ,internships are not soo well although the good studnets get them easily maintain a good CG then you should have no problem
