- I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
- Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
- Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.
Dislikes
- Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
- It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
- It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placements only after getting their degree. fourth-year students sit for campus placement sessions whereas internship opportunities are provided by the college from 2nd year onwards. Major recruiters like Microsoft, Intel, Infosys, and JSW cement visit and offer good packages. The highest package on campus is around 52 lakhs for the CS department and the average package of on-campus placement is around 8-10 lakhs. And for an off-campus highest package of our college students is 1 Cr this year. Around 70 % of students get placed every year.

- The fest organized was good and provide a chance to explore the other interest of the student.
- The friendly and cooperative behaviour of faculty members.
Dislikes
- The curriculum should be improved a bit more.
- Library facilities and infrastructure can be improved.
- The grounds of the college should be improved .
Placement Experience:
The placement of the college is good and various companies visited the college for the placement offer. Almost 90 percent of students from our course were placed in some known companies. The highest package offered was 55 LPA.

- Clubs and societies with their cultural fests and other activities which help in overall personality development of the student.
- Best laboratory facilities in Central India equipped with almost all the neccessary equipments with safety measures.
- Safe environment provided by the guards who help students and ensure no ragging activities take place in college.
Dislikes
- The curriculum needs to be updated as the system followed dates back to that of 90s.
- Better hostel and accommodation facilities to be arranged.
Placement Experience:
Candidates can appear for college placements from the 6th semester onwards. In the previous year, i.e. 2022, a total of 197 companies visited our college including PSUs like BPCL, IOCL, consulting firms like Fractal and tech giants Adobe and Amazon. Adobe offers a package of 55Lakh CTC whereas Amazon offers a package of 46Lakh CTC. Core companies like BPCL offer around 22Lakhs CTC.

- Only thing I don't like about hostel accomodation

Students are eligible for placements in the seventh semester.
101 companies like Wipro, Adobe, info red etc are visited
And 738 offers are made by them.
85 % of students are placed in various tech and non-tech companies.

- Faculty members are good they cooperate very well.
- Seniors are very helpful and treat juniors like there younger brother
- Season of the college fest is just best time of the college.
Dislikes
- College do not have adequate number of hostel for the students either it is a girl or a boy.
- The campus is of more than 80 acres but there nothing special in it. Its just a big piece of land

After the 6th-semester students are eligible to get placements.
Many big companies visit the Nit Raipur campus for recruitment with a lot of opportunities for the students with a large number of jobs.
The highest package offered was 2 crore per annum and the lowest package offered was 4 lakhs per annum.
A decent percentage of the students are placed on campus. It differs from branch to branch in the percentage of placement.
I am planning to pursue further studies after the completion of the degree.

- placement- it has very consistent record for placement so i am convinced if i work accordingly.
Dislikes
- college building- it has just one main building with all branches in it at least we could've had 4-5 building for major branches
- campus size- it is very small and there are faculty quarters everywhere you see no infrastructure whatsoever but they are working on that so its good to hear that
Placement Experience:
7th semester. infosys, adobe, and Wipro are some of the leading companies that have visited and total of 649 offers were made in 2022.
57.5 lacs was the highest package offered in the IT branch in 2022. about 65% of students on average get placed in nit raipur every year.
doing the job for about 2-3 years I plan on focusing on my skills in music and other things.

- I liked the hostel life which is due to people i hot surroundings me .
- High speed wifi is available i hostel and college.
- Academic curriculum is easy we no need

- Girl's ratio is less so boys get frustrated some time 😂
- Not good sports facilities not even good ground.
- Not good lab facilities very old equipment are there
Placement Experience:
The place is a quite interesting highest package of 2cr has been garabed in meta by its student
And my branch 21 student got 16 lpa and 2 got 55lpa, and students get placed in PSU through the gate. Our seniors secured good ranks in gates like air 6, and 9 in my mining branch.

- Faculties. As all the professors are helpful and always appreciated the students not in study but in extra curricular activities also.
- Location. As it is easily rechable from all means of transport. Specially from train as just behind the college there is station, so students nearby 40 km can reach college easily.
- Curriculum and placement. Nit raipur has best cirriculum in middle India and best teaching faculties.
Dislikes
- Campus. The campus is very small and not used properly.
- Infrastructure. The infrastructures is too old and need renovations.
- Hostel accommodation. As there is limited seats in hostel and the total seat is not the half of the required seats.
Placement Experience:
After 6 semesters students can avail of placements.
101 companies visited and 738 offers were made last year. Companies like amazon, Facebook, Infosys, Wipro, NTPC & power grid come for placement.
Highest :- 85 LPA
Average:- 10.1 LPA
Students having placements:- 70% and above.
I will join IT companies as a software engineer.

- What I liked really is my Hostel. It is really great, and the facilities provided really stand out in comparison to the other Government Hostels. It gives an opportunity to make several friends and provide a new and great environment.
- The fests are an essential part of the college life. I really enjoyed the Cultural and Technical Fests. I volunteered for the Technical Fest (Aavartan) and it gave me an opportunity to interact with the Seniors and expand my social circle.
- Placements: NIT Raipur has a good track record when it comes to campus placements, and many reputed companies visit the campus every year to recruit students.
Dislikes
- The campus size is a bit small (only 100 acres) and pales in comparison to other NITs and IITs. Due to the lack of size, several things are not present in the campus.
- The lack of hostels and accommodation for the students is again, a very big con. The college does not provide hostels to each and every student. The student has to strive for it by scoring good CPI.
- Course Curriculum: The course curriculum seems to be a bit outdated and there is need of improvement in certain areas to make the curriculum a bit more interactive and fit for the current needs in the industry.

Many top companies visit the campus every year to recruit students for various positions. The placement process at NIT Raipur is managed by the institute's Placement Cell, which conducts Placement Drives, pre-placement talks, and sessions.
In general, students become eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester of their B.Tech program, which means that they can participate in the placement process from the beginning of their final year.
Several large and recognized companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Reliance, ONGC, BHEL, etc. recruited the students for placements, and in the year 2021-22, a total of 738 offers were made.

- I liked to have helping nature faculties and senior.
- As the location of college is middle of the city so there is no problem faced to get things.
- Every function are held and appreciable .
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is not so much good because it was not made for not it was made for GEC.
- Hostel seats is limited as there is on other nit colleges.
Placement Experience:
From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Approx every company visited our college for placement like Google, Microsoft, Tata etc. The highest package of NIT Raipur is 57 lakh and the average package is 10.1 lakh per annum.

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-
- Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.
- Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.
Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and
idea-sharing with them is negligible.
- Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.
- Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.
- Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.
- Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.
Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
