IIIT Delhi Faculty

The college's faculty is highly qualified, with most holding Ph.D. degrees from prestigious institutions such as IITs, NITs, and foreign universities. The faculty comprises around 150-200 members for approximately 3000 students, resulting in a diverse faculty-to-student ratio that varies from 10:1 to 300:1 depending on the course. Many faculty members have over 15 years of experience and are experts in domains like databases, artificial intelligence, and networks. The faculty is approachable, offering office hours and supporting students in research projects.

The learning approach is interactive and industry-oriented, with a focus on practical applications and strict plagiarism policies. Teaching Assistants, primarily MTech and Ph.D. students from IIITD, supplement the faculty in providing tutorials and additional support. The course structure is rigorous, with frequent assessments including quizzes, assignments, mid-semester, and end-semester exams. Despite some variability in teaching effectiveness, the overall educational environment is supportive and conducive to creating future-ready graduates.
