Gujarat University Ahmedabad Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement of our college is very good and every year around 50-60% get placed in big multinational companies like Reliance, Power grid TCS, etc. highest package remains near to 8-9 lacs per annum and average remains at 3.5 lacs. Students from the 7th semester becomes eligible to sit for the placements. My plan is to get in one of the reputed companies and start my career thereon.

Students become eligible only in the 4th year for campus placement. Accenture, TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Mitsubishi, LG, Haier, Byjus, TCL, Samsung, HBSC bank, etc. And many startups also visit the college. Highest around 12.3 lakhs for software developer and median around 3.75 lakhs for the system engineer, testing engineer, software developer, web developer, app developer, customer support services, etc. Around 85-90% of students who applied for placement gets placed in 2020.

There are no placements offered by this college but after BCOM you have the opportunity to manage the accounts of some firm or company. You can also do a part-time job or course to enhance your skills. After getting the degree my plan was to join MBA.

I love this College, because this College placement is very good.All faculties are well educated and experienced,& very helpful nature& big reson for choose this College because this College fees is only 6000 annually therefore i choosed this College for my best placement &. Affordable fee structure

After final year internship start and stipend is given by the government. Per month:- 18000 something. After the internship, most of the doctors take admission in pg degree courses. Some doctors join the job. My plans after this course:- MD, MS, Diploma courses.

Somlalit college is a self financed college so fees here is a bit higher as compared to other government gujarat university colleges,but by giving more fees we get more benefits as there would be no need to join any personal tution classes and the support staff will support you greatly,you dont need to worry about any university form or degree form they will fill on behalf of you,you just have to check and sign the form.Another great thing is there is not more strictness regarding attendance criteria so the students who are actually willing to study will only attend the college,noone would forcibly attend the college.It is also beneficial to the student pursuing CA,CS or CMA program as they can easily pursue there professional courses without worrying more about college.They will also get regular updates of the college through sms or email.The college also undergoes placement process and very well known companies participate in placement process like adani energy,kpmg,delloite,etc.The coin has always two sides if there will be pros than some cons will definitely be there.The college has more about pros,but some cons are still there1.The main problem with the college is the college does not have playground and also does not have a place for extra curricular activities.2. There is a problem with the parking of college even the 2 wheeler are parked very badly,4 wheeler are not allowed for students to bring into the campus.3. There is a bit of politics but it is a bit common in every college.4. The college fees are higher as compared to other self financed college.Admission process:Somlalit is governed under gujarat university,so all the admission are undergone through gujarat university.In the portal of gujarat university students have to select preference of colleges and on the basis of merit and preference selected by the students colleges are alloted.Reason for preferring college over others:Firstly the college is governed under gujarat university so it creates a plus point as well i am a CA student so,i wanted a college in which i can easily pursue the course and is not clashed with my articleship,so as the college is of morning shift it creates a great plus point.I was being referred by one of my senior in the college who told me that the college is best for ca students and was actually having all the sets of things a student wants.

This college is affiliated with Gujarat University which has a huge name in the educational field. This college has the best faculties in their respective fields. They focus on the learning of the core aspects of every topic, therefore in depth study is done. Also, there are various academic projects which increase the practical aspects in business and corporate world.The process of admission is very easy. This college provides Integrated MBA course, therefore admission to be done after 12th std. through Gujarat University portal. Ld has best placement among all government colleges. In last 4 year 619 companies are visited ld and they selected more than 2000 student for a job. The highest package is 12LPA and lowest package is 4LPA. Some of the companies are required not to need backlog in the last 2 year. At 3rd year the recruitment process of placement starts. The first chance is given to that student whose CGPA is more than 7.75 Accenture, torrent, reliance, Adani, Gujarat gas etc all big companies are visited in ld and they select for job. My plan after degree I would like to ho for job if I not found than ready for master degree

LD is also famous for placement for students. For 7 or 8 semester students become eligble for campus placement In my department all type compneys like amitara,arvind,zindal etc In Clg 60 or 70% student get placement every year.
