- Overall the faculty at nit srinagar is good they provide us with good study material and they have average speaking skills we can understand their lectures easily jsnsnjdjdhdhshshhsjsjshhshshshshshshhshshshshhshshshshshshhshshdh
- It has a beautiful campus and the best facilities the library has a huge amount of books and has free wifi speed like 100mbps.
- In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college
Dislikes
- Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
- Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
- There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

- The NIT srinagar(NIRF 69 IN 2021) is generally well regarded for its academic offerings and placement opportunities
- About Hostel facility: In first year you have to shared room with 5 members upto 3rd year and in 4 th hear if your cgpa is greater than 7.2 than you will got jhelum hostel with single occupancy
- You may be suffered from the protest atleast one time in a year in campus or outside but dont worry you will safe here
Dislikes
- Placement is decreasing time to time from 2023 due to recession and less skill set
- Wifi speed is not so good sometime you can enjoy wifi but sometimes not.You can use your own wifi like we are enjoying in chenab hostel
- If you are searching for coding environment then this college is not for you

From 7th semester you are eligible for sit in placements.
There are various companies come in college like vedanta,oracle,optum,tcs,vedanta,ibm,hdfc and many more.

- Experienced professors with one or two exceptions
- Snow, travelling around in famous locations like gulmarg

- Anti-national feelings among locals, there's active tension between locals and non locals
- Events like seen in other nits like clubbing etc are not common but have happened only once or twice a year at a very small scale in comparison
Placement Experience:
I'm still in college undergoing my third year, as per my seniors they're getting placed, the college has a blocking policy where candidates are blocked from attending placement offers after getting placement above 7.5 lpa and are reallowed to sit after a certain number of students get placed and are allowed to sit if they sit in atleast 1.5 times the current package. However this policy is irrelevant for companies which offer more than 25 lpa where anyone can sit

- Great weather and Lovely people feels like a holiday package even we can see mountains from our hostel . The famous Dal Lake is just behind the hostel.
Dislikes
- There is not enough exposure due to the remote location of the college not many opportunities are provided by the college you have to do everything on your own.

placements are average due to recessions but still better as compared to private colleges.
but you have to work hard in order to crack a decent placement. and have a CGPA of atleast 7.5 in onder to be in a safe zone to sit for placements.

- Beauty of the campus and the weather here is quite good.

- Small size of campus and sometimes dealing with strict attendance is a hassle.
Placement Experience:
The placements season this year is just average because of the recession going on but overall the students who got placed have got average package of around 13 lakhs per annum in the computer science branch

- The location and the beauty of the college is very good.
Dislikes
- Little issues faced by the students who are from outside of state.
Placement Experience:
The percentage of placement is high. But in some case cases don't get placement then we can go for higher studies like M tech phd etc. Or other hand we can also prepare for civil services, engineering services or applied offline for companies .

- collage location: NIT Srinagar is located at the banks of Dal Lake with the view of zabarwan mountains and is considered one of the most beautiful campuses in india, it also has a good weather not so hot and not so cold.
- The campus is vibrant with a diverse student body there are students from all across the country. We get to feel the diversity of the country and there are annual cultural festivels and other activeties oraganised which help in overall develeopment
- NIT Srinagar has a good placement cell as an NIT many big companies visit the collage for placements. The placement cell maintains good relation with top companies it conducts regular workshops, mock interviews to prepare students for placements
Dislikes
- NIT srinagar has a infrastructure problem as it does not have that much area and the buldings are very old (most of them) there is not enough space in hostels with respect to the intake of new students
Placement Experience:
For on campus placements you are elegible from 7th semester and following are the top companies which have/are visting NIT Srinagar IBM, D.E Shaw & Co. , Accenture, NTPC , Amazon, Wipro, Infosys etc also some of the top PSUs like BEL, GAIL etc.
diffrent companies offer diffrent prociles based on your brach like junior engineer, engineer trainee, sales officer, etc
CSE,IT and ECE have more than 75% placement rate

- The college environment and the atmosphere is very good. It is situated in such place where nature is at its finest. Residing along the Dal lake.
- The exposure is quiet good but not upto the mark, still it has many things that make it one of the best colleges like cu curricular activities and the exposure in games field
Dislikes
- the infrastructure is not up to the mark and somewhere its very bad and in poor condition. but improvements are being made like making new hostels and classrooms
- the food is not quite healthy in the mess. its just like eating boiled vegetables with rice and chapatis. you dont get a variety of food items
- the bathrooms and water as well as electricity supply is not what you expect from an NIT college. requires a lot of improvements in building reservoirs for water and electricity.
Placement Experience:
from 3rd year or 5th semester a student becomes eligible for sitting in placement. one must have atleast one intership done along with its certificate and then you are eligible to sit in placements. many companies has visited in our college from previous 2-3 years like amazon, nvidia, google, accenture, zs associates and many more. The highest package of NIT Srinagar is 36 lakhs/annum and the average package is 10 lakhs per annum
80-90% students yearly gets placement oncampus and offcampus from which 70 percent belongs to oncampus and 30 percent offcampus. I personally worked in Accenture as data analyst for the package of 7.5 lakhs gross and 6.5 lakhs in hands

- NIT Srinagar is located in the famous valley of Kashmir . It is exactly located on banks of Dal lake so one can witness dal from college itself .
- If you haven’t seen snow , you can witness here in winters !!
Dislikes
- As it is located in Srinagar so you may get trouble while travelling from Jammu to Srinagar . As sometimes due to rain road gets blocked , and u have to take flight !
- It has less fundings for its events . Cultural events , tech fest etc..
Course Curriculum Overview:
We usually have 2 exams in 1 semester I.e midterms and end terms . Civil engineering branch is good here and as I saw the seniors they do a lot of practical , field jobs here staying in this branch ...

- Provides tremendous opportunity for a student to go forward into that
- Various clubs of coding, technology robotics and much more to develop skills in the students

- Overcrowded classes, results in the difficulty innthe interaction with the professors
- High tution fees, cost of attending college can be significant burden
- Poorly maintained attics and outdated facilities, it can detract from learning experiences

The overall placements in the Institute is not that much but as far as placements of IT and CSE branch is concerned it is about to 36LPA for campus placements and the core branches may get upto 20 LPA

- The environment is good. Teachers are supportive as well. You'll have great time in Kashmir

- The mess food is not so good. But this happens in other colleges also.
- You'll not get many options here to eat and also the food is very expensive.
Placement Experience:
You can apply for placements in the 4th year. Placements are good here. Comapanies like Oracale visits here in winter.
In ECE the median CTC is around 9 lakh pa. The highest package received was like 42 lakh something.
