- Communication between everyone is very good
- Hostel rooms are good for students as well
- Class rooms are good and clubs, fest and so much to explore as well.
Dislikes
- Mess quality is poor and wifi issues are one of the major
Placement Experience:
From third semester students are applicable for internships etc. and for Campus placement mainly fourth year students are applicable for it. Some companies like HP, Samsung,Tata Steel etc. comes for recruitment.

- here in nit jsr placements are better than any other nit in this range
- you get single room from second year onward
- going basti give you kick and it is awesome

- infrastructure of this college is like shitt
- nirf ranking is also like shit it is between 100-150
- reasearch opp. is not good in this college

generally every students apply for companies in 3rd year
some companies which visit nitjsr are -- amazon adobe flipkart gameskraft atlassian paypal paytm deshaw etc
highest pacakage is about 83lakh by atlassian and average pacakage for cse is 26.66lakh and average pacakage is 15lakh
girls are placed very easily but for boys it is difficult to get good pacakage.
i dont know what to do after btech

- So many events that unable to manage time between studies and other activities
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements in 4th year. In 3rd year internship opportunities are available. Many companies visit nit jsr like Atlassian, Microsoft, Amazon,IBM etc. There's many offers. Highest package until now is 83 lakh per annum. Average is around 8 lpa . 99% students get placed in nit jsr in most of the branches.

- Placements which is very good especially or my branch ECE
- Single rooms from 2nd year onwards is really a plus point for me
- We have absolute grading so the environment isnt toxic like in RG
Dislikes
- No Gym in the campus. We need to go somewhere outside
- Strict 75% attendance policy is annoying
- Overall the campus is very small with no proper auditorium so a compromise there
Placement Experience:
Placements are quite good here, the reason most people choose this college. Average package for top branches go upto 22-27 lpa with median being around 17-20 lpa. The highest package offered remains 83 lpa offered by Atlassian; they gave 6 full time offers this year. Companies start vising campus for internships as soon as your 4th semester gets over.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose btech computer science course because I am interested in these type of things like technology and computer . Faculty members are good they are highly qualified they all are PhD holder from different IITs and best way to teach . Term exam are held twice named as mid sem and end sem which took place almost every 3 month gap . Level of paper is sometime difficult for subject like chemistry, mechanics , math but overall teachers are good they give marks

- Poor infrastructure, need to improve here.
- Syllabus is major concern as it is too long to complete in too short time.
Course Curriculum Overview:
As computer science is most demandable branch of this era. I am looking for IT sector job that's why I opt cse . Here faculty members are awesome they all are PhD holder which can be seen while they teach. We have to attend 2 exams one is mid sem which is of 30 marks total and second is end sem of 50 marks. As nit are topmost college of India so it is really difficult to pass In college as being topmost branch cse . There are extreme competition among the batchmates as we all are cream students of nation.

- Campus Life is also decent your four year will not go much boring

- Infrastructure are still developing. We don't have auditorium in our college
- 75% attendance is must in our college which is huge task for many students

From the third year students are eligible for internship and from fourth year students are eligible for campus placements.
Their are a lots of companies that visit aur college every year .
Top recruiters are atlasian and many more.
Highest package of computer science and engineering branch is 83.40 LPA and it's Average package is 27 LPA
Highest package of Electrical engineering branch is also 83.40 LPA and it's Average package is 17.98 LPA
Highest package of Electronic and Communication Engineering branch is also 83.40 LPA and it's Average package is 22.03 LPA .
In CSE 97.20% students gets placed.

- Placement offered. Average package is very good.
- Coding culture. Seniors guide us roadmap.
- Exams are not difficult to pass. You can easily score 8 CGPA.
Dislikes
- Sports is not so much developed here. Facilities are not enough.
- There is no gym so no fitness. Sports is not so much considered here.
- Campus is very large and it is not near the main market. So you have to travel a lot.
Placement Experience:
Students of 7th semester appear for placement interviews. Companies like Amazon, atlassian, tata steel, Paytm, Qualcomm, phone pe, ola,Uber etc visit here. Highest package was 83lpa offered to 6 students by atlassian. Average package of CSE is 26lpa. Overall average is 15.81lpa. They basically offers software role. Apart from that core role is also offered. Overall placement is more than 95% . In many branch it is 100%. I am planning for on campus placement and job as software engineer.

- In NIT Jamshedpur there is no closed auditorium which has capacity for whole college

The placement of NIT Jamshedpur is very very good. 4th year comedies visit campus and give the packages the highest packages in 2022 is 83 lakh per annum, package of whole NIT is a like 16 lpa, for CSE branch the average package is 26 lpa which is great, package for ECE branch is also 20 lakh which is also good, percentage of NIT Jamshedpur is also good branch like metallurgy production also have the good placement percentage

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva

FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
