Course Curriculum Overview:
The faculty members are very supportive and they are very knowledgeable. They clarify all our doubts and are very friendly. They take extra doubt classes for difficult topics of the subject. All over they are always there. There are semester-wise exams, and internal exams are held.

I had an interest in this field and it has a good scope The faculty members are very good they are very very well qualified and expert in their respective fields they have a very in-depth knowledge of their subject and are the best in the world. They are full of knowledge

- Campus is also very full of sports and all sports.

- Far from city it is very far from city.
- During summer the climate becomes very hot.
- Its hot climate is very bad I feel very much heated.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I think it has one of the best curricula and faculties. All the faculties are greatly qualified and the best in their field .they have the ability. To make any of the toughest topics the easiest and make us understand.

- I think it is best for everyone who will got this college.

- I don't dislike anything in this college.
Placement Experience:
5 th or 6 th semester become eligible for placement like tata motors, tata steel, TCS, Infosys, etc.
Last year's highest package was around 85 lakh in mechanical and 1 crore in computer science and average of around 12-15 lakh.
98% of students get placement in every branch.

From 3rd semester student can apply for placement.
Mainly education companies, NGOs and other are visited for placement
Almost 85% student get placement
My next plan is clearing net jrf and applying for PhD

- I liked the curriculum here, its very chill we dont have to take stress, we can pass if we study for one day seriously
- I like accomodation, food in college. I haven't faced any problem related to it here
- Placements are good here. Anybody can get placement if they study averagly

- Culture is not good. Innovative culture is missing
Placement Experience:
In 5th sem companies come for internships. 30 % of students get an internship at that time. Then in the 7th sem placement starts & some people already get PPO. The placements are quite good here. Anybody can get a minimum 12 lpa offer in CSE. The placement percentage is 100%. The highest offer is 80LPA by Atlassian in 2023. And the lowest is 10 LPA. The median is above 15 LPA(this year's low because of the recession)

- I likes its placement especially in core and lower branches.
Dislikes
- I dislike its campus life. With NIT standards it could be better.
Placement Experience:
Best thing about NIT JAMSHEDPUR is its placement statistics. 98 percent placement ratio. With overall 14.7 lpa package. In ECE and CSE branch 100 percent placement. The highest placement is 80 lpa. Best thing is that core branches and lower branches also has phenomenal placement stats.

- I like the placement, placement here is very good for production branch also.
- Academic building is very modern and good.
- Faculties are very helpful and supportive.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure could have better for shake of NIT.
- Labs are very old , many equipment doesn't work properly.
- Campus life is not that good according to my expectations.
Placement Experience:
In terms of placement, NIT Jamshedpur stands in the top 5 NITs. Overall 97% of students get placed. With 100% placement in ECE and CSE branches. Core branches like mechanical and electrical also have 98.9% and 95% placement respectively.
Companies like Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, and Vedanta come.
The highest package is 72.5 LPA offered to ECE students.
The average package is 14.72LPA.
I will go into the IT sector after getting the degree.

- Faculty members are quite good and supporting.
- Placements are awesome and good internship opportunities
- Many technical and cultural clubs to join and enhance you talent.
Dislikes
- 75 percentage attendance criteria in the college.
- Campus is not too beautiful and requires innovation.
- Hostel infrastructure needs some improvements
Placement Experience:
The best part of this college is the placements. Awesome placement in non-core as well as the core. In this college, a wide number of visits like Atlassian, tata steel, Wipro, Amazon, etc. The highest package is 80lakhs and the average is 14lakhs. Approx out of every 100 students 94 got placed.

- I liked most the environment of the campus.
- I liked evening walkings , cultural programs
- Teaching style of teachers and the best part is the Nescafe jamming

Placement Experience:
From the 5th sem, you are eligible for campus placements. A company like Tata motors, and Microsoft, are visited.
The percentage of students getting placements is around 98-99%
My plan after getting the degree is to pursue higher education

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:
A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.
- CSE: Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle
- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva
- EEE: Tata Steel, JSW Steel, L&T, BPCL
- ME: Tata Motors, L&T, Tata Steel, BPCL
- MME: JSW Steel, Vedanta, Tata Metaliks, Tata Steel
- CE: Simplex, L&T
- PIE: Tata Hitachi, JK Tyre, JK Paper, Tata Motors
FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
