The placement records are just amazing. In these Covid times about 90% eligible students get placed and still placement season in going on.
Various companies like Amazon ,Samsung ,Infosys ,wipro, Tata steel ,deloitte ,axis bank, IBM, oracle etc. Visit the college for college placement.
Average package of cse is 12-14 lakhs ,for ece 10-12 lakhs and for core branches 7-10 lakhs which is quite good.
My plan after getting the degree is to grab a decent package and get settled.

The campus placement starts from the 4th year or the 7th semester itself.
The Placements of the college is decent for both non-core and core. For non-core, the top recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Paytm, Samsung, One Plus, and a lot more. For core, the top recruiters include Tata Steel, Bajaj, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Vedanta, and a lot more. In total, the no. of companies who visited the college in the year 2021 was around 85 and the no. of offers made was above 400 despite the Covid-19 pandemic. The highest placement was INR 30 Lakhs given to 10 students and the average was around INR 12 Lakhs. The percentage of students placed was somewhere around 83%. If no campus placement is offered, which is a very unlikely case, you can either go for higher studies like M.Tech, MBA or exams like GATE, IES, CAT, etc. for higher studies and government jobs. You can even make use of your NITian tag to open a coaching institute of yours.

Placement Experience:
One of the best things about the college is its campus placement. Almost all the students get placed. Many big tech companies come for the recruitments like Amazon,GoldmanSacs and many more. The average package is 10 lakhs and the highest is 40 lakhs

I took Admission in July, 2017. The Admission process was easy. It had a duration of 4 days, in which you can report and Register yourself. Roll numbers are alloted as first come first serve. No Alphabetic Order. I took EEE in NIT JAMSHEDPUR over other choices because it has a better placement exposure and hostels are good.I took help from Collegepravesh website, when i was comparing colleges.

This institute was famous for Metallurgy branch since this college is in steel city Jamshedpur known for the biggest Tata Steel plant. Here I had opportunity to do the internship in Tata Steel and very well know National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML). Faculty at institute was very good, also all equipments were there for lab classes so along with study I had chance to do experiments in Lab under the guidance of our faculty.

Excellent Placements, Satisfactory academic environment, a rapidly improving infrastructure. NIT Jamshedpur has good placement for all the undergraduate courses available in the institution. Campus is a homeground to a some of the brightest minds in the country because of the rigorous selection process of JEE Main. The institution is well connected through roadways and railways to major areas of Jamshedpur.

NIT Jamshedpur offers very good placements and infrastructure. NIT Jamshedpur is a very good platform to get good placements. More than 80% of the students got placed in different companies.
In hindsight, it can be said that despite its shortcomings, NIT Jamshedpur is a great institute.

You would live some of the most beautiful moments of your life in college. NIT Jamshedpur provides very good placements.you can also visit some of the other places in Jamshedpur like chandil dam.so you will enjoy after getting admited in this college.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
