Ques. Which is better for doing a distance learning for an MBA, Alliance University or IGNOU?

● Top Answer By Praver Katyal on 10 May 21

Ans. Both of these institutes are good in their own way. Here are some of the facts. IGNOU provides distance education at very feasible fees to everyone. It offers admissions to more than 225 Certificate, Diploma, Degree, and Doctoral Programs.  One can find IGNOU centers in almost every place in India. MBA at IGNOU is a two-year program.  The eligibility for admission is passed graduation from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% in aggregate.  The admission criterion includes OPENMAT scores and past academic scores. The MBA program of Alliance University has 5 specializations: Marketing, Operations Management, Finance, International Business, Organizational Behavior, and Human Resources. For the two years of college life, the students will have a great time in the university with very good infrastructure. It has highly qualified faculty members but when it comes to the campus placements and recruitments, the students will face the heat. My brother has completed his MBA from IGNOU. Their study material is very comprehensive and easy to understand. The study centers at IGNOU can give a competitive edge to any B-school.Read more

Placement Experience :

One will be eligible for campus placements nearing the end of their third semester. Companies like Bisleri, Verzio, Phonepay, HCL came and offered positions for business development officers, project management associates, etc. More than 98% of the students get placed. I will be doing a job wherever I get the opportunity and continue for a few years before thinking about anything else.

Remarks :

The infrastructure is really good. Teachers are well trained and experienced. Good exposure in the market and good tie-ups with some really nice companies and even startups. Regular webinars and talks with some really great minds in the industry. Tie up with Coursera which provides one of the best courses from the state of the art Universities from all over the world. Through the MAT exam, one can apply to this college. MAT happens four times in a year and each score is valid for 6 months time and this college have July and Jan batch and give one a chance to get placed before the 4th sem and work which saves six months of time. While filling MAT form apply for this college and after securing enough marks the college will send a mail for further GD and personal interview process, dates, venues, and timings.

Placement Experience :

The Placement cycle for us started in the mid of the 3rd semester. All the students have to register on the employment application called superset through which all the students receive notifications about company announcements and the hiring process. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, Oracle, Lido learning, Accenture, IBM came to the campus offering an average package of 6-7 lakhs yearly. Almost 80-90 % of students got placed every year.

Remarks :

Alliance University has a huge infrastructure with hostel facilities for both girls and boys within the campus itself. The campus is spread over 55 acres offering courses like Post graduation diploma in management, Masters in Business Administration, BBA, BBA-LLB, BTech, Executive MBA for Working Professionals. The college is featured in the top 75 Management institutions in India. The current NIRF ranking for Alliance university is 42 and this is a result of collaborative efforts from all concerned stakeholders. The college also provides a students exchange program in which few students have a chance of visiting abroad college for 6 months. The College also has an imminent teacher from the reputed college like IIM and Expert from a different sector of the industry.

Placement Experience :

Many good companies have visited our college and given high packages for every course. The placement process is pretty good. I don't know pretty much about it as I'm still in 1st year but from the senior have got good placements.

Remarks :

Because of its location and infrastructure also because it has a good computer science program with good faculty. The benefit of joining here is that we can opt for off-campus placements in IT companies.

Remarks :

I have filled many entrance exam forms for a college. I appeared in some as well, but in some of them my desired branch is not in there. Therefore when I was able to get aerospace branch in alliance university. I thought that this is the best option for me. And I also checked the placement ratio of the college and it's quite convencing. And the course is not very expensive either, so it seems this was the right decision for me.
