- Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
- I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
- I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .
Dislikes
- In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
- Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
- Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

- Campus and its surroundings(clean).NITC campus is green campus and proper cleaning is done.
- Tech and cultural Fests.NIT Calicut is famous for its cultural fest called Ragam(which is the biggest cultural fest in kerala) and Tech Fest tathva
- Labs and Facilities are very good.They are well maintained.I basically belong to electrical engineering and machines are properly maintained and working properly

- Plcements.For Computer science branch there is almost 100 percent placement.But for other branches it is not that much great.Only 40 percent of students from eee are placee till now.
- frequent strikes.(conflicts between students and administration)
Placement Experience:
For CS placements are great.Almost 100 percent students are placed with median ctc of around 20LPA.Im not sure about highest CTC (will be around 55).For other branches placements are not that good.Core companies visiting are very less and their ctc is also less.Most of eee and ece students are placed in it companies.Qualcomm which is the best company in electronics domain has only selected mtech students for hardware role.Thats why I'm preparing for gate and trying to get an mtech degree in microelectronics or integrated circuits which is the best option for eee or ece engineers.

- College campus is nice,clean and big.it also has gym and swimming pool.
- College is great at education and it is tier 1 college.there is no ragging
- For sports it has badminton court, table tennis, basketball, volleyball. Every hostel has indoor sports
Dislikes
- There is reservation for Kerala students,so Kerala has more students than every other state students
- Here girl to boy ratio is 3:1 , not Many girl are here
- It has activate point system which is very bad
Placement Experience:
Students get eligible at seven or eight semester to be on campus placement.
Companies like nvidia,intel other company Is also visited
Highest package is 50 lpa and average package is 18 lpa
Students above 7 gpa are eligible for campus placement

- This institution timings are flexible such that there is no burden on the student
Dislikes
- The girls to boys ratio is very much low in this institution
Placement Experience:
Placements are going much good
Generally form third year only students are getting placement opportunities and also some of the second years getting internships from many companies most of the students are getting placed

- Vibrant campus life with reserved events
- Excellent placements for students with a good cgpa
- Well equipment in lab and can gain good practical knowledge
Dislikes
- Minor ragging with does not come notice to management
- Lab expectations are not upto the mark .
- Hostel facilities are not so good and old
Course Curriculum Overview:
Ece is best course the college rules under ece there will be more chances for placements from ece group the course plan structured by Hod helps students more teaching methods in practical way is quite better as said before mid is for 1 hour end is for 2 hours and internals is for 30 minutes

- A beautiful campus which is situated away from the city .
- Hostels are very good as compared to other other NITs.
- Faculty are highly qualified and they are very kind.

- The campus divided into three to four parts .
- Classes are too far from hostels we have to walk about 700m.
- Buildings are too old , some faculty are rude
Placement Experience:
I think from 5 th semester students are eligible to apply for placements for placements CGPA will play a crucial role . Total 200+ companies are visited to NITC in last year some of them are Honeywell , intel, HPCL ,FIITJEE ,Mahindra . 80% students are placed in last year.

I was really choosed this course with my interest and my parents are supposed me to choose architecture and when I was joined her I was enjoying this architecture course with all my friends and faculty

- Stressful class schedule for the whole week
- Late night submissions occuring due to extra schedules .
- Some faculty take the situaions to ego and hurt themselves
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course circular is very hectic and not at all balanced for the students brain . As it is done by professionals but not managable by the students ,not all but can't be managed by more than half the strength .

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements.208 companies visited last year and 1080 placement offers were made .Highest package is about 50LpA and average package is about 20LpA.My plans are getting a job placement after degree

- the campus is full of trees and the infrastructure gives different vibes as well. the communication has improved a lot to me. there are many sport activities going often.hostels are good and the people are very nice
- every year core companies for eee and ece branch offers 12-37 lpa package. very good companies like Texas instruments, nvidia are also coming. placement cell will provide maximum help to you for getting placed in every aspect
- the curriculum here is very good. more subjective and practical knowledge. the curriculum will change every 5 years based on previous curriculum output. teachers are very friendly and they will always support you in each and every aspects. they will

- climate condition is too hot I mean as it is near to sea shore more humidity experience.
- roads are very clumsy. you have to be careful while walking on roads hete
- 2nd and 3rd year hostels are some far from the class buildings
Placement Experience:
placements start from 3rd year onwards.companies visited are google, microsoft, ashok leyland, wipro, infosys, Texas instruments,BHEL, nvidia and many more companies so far placement percentage is around 90-95% here

What is your review of the National Institute of Technology Calicut?

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-
- The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
- There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
- The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
- There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
- During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.
NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
