IIT Bombay offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. Program in various specializations. B.Tech in CSE is the flagship program offered by the institute. The basic requirement for admission to the B.Tech program at IIT Bombay is a valid JEE Advanced score. The cutoff for the same ranged from 2 to 66 in the academic year 2020.
Admission to the B.Tech program at IIT Bombay is offered after the counseling of seats done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA Counselling). Seats are allocated on the basis of the candidate’s JEE Advanced Rank, availability of seats, category, and other factors. IIT Bombay is also offering a free online course in Aerospace Engineering and the last date to apply for the same is August 2, 2021. It is a 12 weeks course and will be offered through the NPTEL platform. While the course is free for and students from any engineering discipline can join, those aiming to get a certificate upon completion will be required to write a proctored exam conducted by NPTEL after registration.

- IIT Bombay is opening new doors for the B.Tech and BS students pursuing degrees from the institute. IIT-B will now be allowing B.Tech and BS students in the 3rd year program to opt for an interdisciplinary dual degree program from SJMSOM. Candidates will get benefits of placements after the completion of the degree. Graduates with a dual degree program from IIT Bombay have a placement rate of 94-96%.
The admission procedure for B.Tech and M.Tech programs at IIT Bombay are based primarily on qualifying exam scores.
