Review by Students

According to Sai Rasika, a student of BCA at HITS, Chennai, the annual course fee is around INR 55,000–58,000, with a stable fee structure and scholarship opportunities available through an internal exam, along with sports quota benefits. Campus life is a major positive, with a safe, ragging-free, and friendly environment. However, placement opportunities for undergraduate students are limited, mainly restricted to call centre roles with low salary packages. Faculty quality is generally good, though some inconsistencies exist in student–teacher interactions. Overall, the college offers a peaceful learning atmosphere, but it falls short in placements. HITS Admissions: Students' Opinion

  • BTech

AI-Generated Summary based on 205 Reviews

The Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] program in Information Technology at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) offers a straightforward admission process primarily through the HITS entrance exam, HITSEEE. Prospective students can find the application forms on the official HITS website, with the process commencing in May. Eligibility requirements typically mandate a minimum of 60-75% in the 12th standard, particularly in subjects like Physics, Mathematics, and English. HITSEEE is conducted once a year, and performance in this exam can lead to scholarships and lower tuition fees, which amount to INR 220,000 annually before scholarship reductions.

Alternatively, admission can also be secured directly through management quota, with fee reductions possible based on board exam scores. There is no category-based reservation, except for a favorable admission policy for Malayali students. HITSEEE battery structure includes monthly class tests and semester exams. The admission deadlines need to be noted as forms close approximately three months prior to the reopening date. Although the process is generally smooth, there have been mentions of issues with the speed of processing and payment networks, suggesting room for improvement.

Overall, HITS provides a supportive academic atmosphere with a diverse syllabus and various opportunities for scholarships based on individual merit in entrance exams and board results.

HITS: 2 Answered Questions

What is the admission process of the Hindustan University?

Sabeer Chalana
Kalyani ShankarStudied at Hindustan University (2020)

I am listing below the two methods of acquiring admission into Hindustan University.

For HITSEEE applicants, you’ll receive an email/call informing you about the college counseling date. You’ll have to attend the main campus at Guindy on that day, select out of the branches available to you, and pay the required fees.

If you haven’t applied for HITSEEE, visit the college as soon as possible, in March/April, and register for your branch. You may be asked for a donation of around 1-2 Lakhs. But with good results in 12th, you won’t be paying a donation, and may even get a scholarship. Don’t approach any brokers or agents. Visit the Guindy campus directly for admission. Make sure to take along someone who knows good English.

This is the entire admission process for Hindustan University.

How can you get admission in Sathyabama University and Hindustan University?

Shambhavi SharmaLives in Chennai

As a B.Tech CSE student at Sathyabama University, I can tell you about my branch and my university.

I got in through management quota, the other way is entrance. I booked my seat before my 12th result by paying 50k and providing my 10th marksheet. For this, I visited the university in March after my public exam. After your 12th result, you can visit and confirm your seat. You’ll get in even with low marks in class 12th. The fee is around 2 Lakhs per year, but the infrastructure and other facilities are good.

Through entrance, you’ll need a rank below 3000. Still, it isn’t sure that you’ll get CSE. CSE seats are completely filled in the first counseling round itself. My friend acquired 1600 rank, but couldn’t get into CSE. Getting in through entrance is extremely difficult due to high competition. Take this route only if you are sure of ranking high in the exam.

This is how you can get into Sathyabama University for your CSE. I do not know about the admission process in Hindustan University.
