Madras University is a public university in Chennai Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the oldest and premier universities in India. The university has six campuses in the city viz., Chepauk, Marina, Guindy, Taramani, Maduravoyal and Chetpet. It offers to study at UG, PG and Doctoral level. Madras University offers admission to PG courses in regular mode and UG courses in distance mode. In order to secure admission to PG courses including MBA and MCA, students need to qualify in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in TANCET are considered for admission.
Applicants who wish to apply can submit application form on official website of university as well as they can download the same. Candidates also have to pay an application fee of INR 100 at the time of registration process. The minimum eligibility to apply for PG courses is graduation degree in relevant discipline with minimum required marks.
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is a state level exam which is organized by Anna University. The exam is conducted for admission to postgraduate courses such as M.E., M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Arch. and M.Plan. TANCET 2018 Registration is expected to begin in the month of January. Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks is the minimum eligibility for TANCET. After the declaration of TANCET Result, those who will successfully qualify the exam are called for TANCET Counselling.
