VIT Vellore Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 4th year your placement starts after the completion of of all the core subjects. Many companies like Intel and L&T has recruited students from our course. The highest package is 75 lakhs and average package is 6 lakhs per annum. Almost 80% of students get placed but many of those companies may be mass recruitment companies though. I am planning on building my skills and try to forge my carrier in as a analyst.

From the 4th semester itself students become eligible. Vit also provide help to students who start their own startups under vit incubation . Many MNCs visit campus and placement ratio is also good. Mass placements also happen . Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, cognizant etc comes . Many other companies also come which provide good packages .higest package was in crores . Average package is around 6lakh to 10 lakhs per annum. Career council department also provides many courses to do during internship periods

VIT provides 100% placement to all the students . The highest package is 56LPA . The lowest package is 7LPA . The average package is 17LPA . Top recruiting companies include Google, Amazon, Flipkart , etc.

There teaching style is good they prepare us for our goals they try to improved the curriculam they add case studies or real world for enchancer. in the curriculam they accurately assess our understanding of matrial

Since VIT is known for their campus placements , there is no shortage in placements as of now. This year almost all the students who sat for placemennts who had 8 or above CGPA did well with their placements.The topper is also known to get a placemnt of 50 lpa, but he average remains to be 7lpa. Moreover if you have a good cgpa you will get a good internship by third year.Everything depends on the CGAPA that you maintain through your course.70% of students were placed. Iam most probably going to sit for placements if not I hope i will be trained enough to get placements on my own.TCS is known to be giving the most number of placements folllowed by some other industrial ccompanies and startups.

Are there any important areas mssing from curriculum that would be valuable additions.specific aspects are about as we can do in software CSE or we can do in ECE type jobs. The frequency and timing of exams along with your perpesctive on their difficulty levelis very very tough.and timing is around 2hrs.

Actually i am interested in the mechanical department and when i study in vellore institute if technology, i came to know many mechanical emerging trends and day to day life acheivements in mechanical engineering students. The ofer real time education like high end machinary which gives more knowledge to students. Exams frequency are bit very narrow and should be increased for students to practice more.

Placements in 2024 are absolutely devastating As a mechanical student, we do not expect offers of 20lpa or 25lpa approaching the campus like the CS students The maximum package for a Mechanical student through on campus is 11lpa by several companies who recruited extremely low numbers (2 at max) Above 8lpa in mech, only females are asked to apply

The corriculum of course is highly well structured, maintained and revised when needed. It offers more than sufficient chapters for the cources. It helps in understanding real life applications as there are theory as well as lab sessions. One of the teachimg improvement that can be done is giving more weightage and invest more time in coding part rathar than the theory part. Frequency was exams are also a bit high. They take 2 internals and 1 final exams and also take 2 quizes and 1 digital assignment all within one semester for each subject.

There is a100% placement for my college with an average of 9.23 lpa and maximum upto 1 CR pa, which i believe is an excellent for a college with upto 50k students all the years combined.I guess students are eligible for placements from 3rd year itself where we can get good ppo's from the companies. We get good companies like Google, Microsoft, Wipro,ibm ,etc with TCS and Infosys having mass recruitments.
