Placement Experience :

From the 5th semester, students are eligible for the campus placement. Many companies visit the department and many students got selected in the different companies with the help of their skills which increased by the professor of this university. Approx 85 to 90% of students got selected for placement every year. I have also planned for the job and I will also get placement after my 5th semester. When I talk about the package many companies provide 10 to 15 lakh per annum.

Remarks :

In my point of view, this college is best. It has the largest library that is maulana Azad library which perform an important role in student's life. The culture of this univeristy is also awesome because our students, colleagues, teachers, seniors, all are good and helpful. Aligarh Muslim University has a great reputation over the world, so this was also a reason for choosing this one. The admission process is also good and it is through the entrance test. Firstly entrance test is conduct and students will get selected according to their skills or knowledge.

Placement Experience :

Generally, final year students are eligible for the campus placement it could be second-year third year according to the subject. There are different companies who visited the campus like TCS. The students of Aligarh Muslim University are easily selected for the placement because of their skills and knowledge. Approx 82-90 % of students are selected for the campus placement every year. I am pursuing an MSc in microbiology and after that, I will do PhD from this university itself, because this University is the best for higher studies.

Remarks :

As we know that Aligarh Muslim University is very famous all over the world many people come here to study. The college has many facilities which are provided to us. It has big faculties, a very famous library of AMU is Maulana Azad there is all kind of books available, the college also provides us good sports facilities. The teachers are highly educated.

Placement Experience :

Placement is almost average. Thus the students became eligible for the placement in their sixth semester. However, most of the students choose higher studies. The company which came is very selective. The highest package can be 3.5LPA and the average package go for the 2LPA. The students can go for higher packages off-campus. The students here choose higher studies and go for masters, and then chooses the teaching field as a professor. The percentage of students getting placement offers can be approximated to 30%. As I told most of them to choose higher studies, the same is my plan. I also want to go for the MSc here itself. My mind is not properly set up for the plans after getting a degree, because on one side, I am preparing for the MCA and on the other side want to take the MSc program from the reputed IITs. Therefore, right now I can't say much more about it but it is for sure that I am going for further studies because I want master's to be done. Also, here the placement is not very high and good.

Remarks :

AMU has an eco-friendly campus and the road is well maintained. The amu covers half of the greenery area of the Aligarh. many types of plants and trees are grown on the campus. The traffic is less in the campus. Only the students and teachers and staff are allowed to enter the campus. The admission process in AMU is very easy. The whole process has been done in one day firstly you have to wait for your number and deposit your documents like 12 and 10 class mark sheet, transfer, and character certificate, and then you have to submit their fees at the fees counter. the admission process starts in August and the classes will be started from the next month. Many waiting lists have been displayed on the website. So many students take the admissions and make their future. The AMU is ranked 10th in the best Central colleges. A website of AMU is www.amu.com and www.amucontroller exams.com. The emu release many forums to enter their exams and the college has nice faculty of education management cel

Placement Experience :

From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for placements. There is so many companies like TCS (GE Capital), ONGC (Chopras), ICICI (Indiainfoline), and CSC (India mart). All these companies come in AMU. Most students received desired packages. I think more than 180 students got job offers from different companies. 90-95% can get placed. Skype, Opera companies visit the AMU campus for placements. My plan is to pursue P.hd only from AMU ib my course, after M.Sc.

Remarks :

The college infrastructure is good. It has almost everything atoz. The best benefit of my college is there is a huge Naulans Azad Library for books and reading hall. Some faculties are amazing like that of mathematics, Botany, and arts but others need to be improved. Campus life is amazing. It's safe and clean. The environment is also green. Actually, fees are too less. The facilities are good. As am pursuing M.Sc. The professors are well experinced and qualified as well as supportive. There is an entrance test for admission. In February forms are released, students can apply online. And entrance conducts in May or June. Results of entrance uploads in July. I prefer this college because it is the world's most famous university as we knkw there are so many students. The fee is very minimal, as it's a central university every person can afford it. There are brilliant proffesors to teach. There are many clubs like music club, cricket club, fine arts club and etc. Yes, there is an official website amucontrollerexam.

Remarks :

Most important thing is the fame of AMU and Surety of campus Placements. The good vibes that i heard about AMU as they don't discriminate among their students and the meek behaviour & coordination between the teachers & the students. Thats why i thought that i should also learn a lot of things from this university so that i enhance my ethics & skills that would helped me in future. these all factors drove me to take admission in this university. I opted this course by choice because I want to become a HR Manager.

The placements & job opportunities are in large number. The company who were visited the campus - Chegg india ltd. or Vedantu.

Ques. How is AMU for a BA LLB?

● Top Answer By Keshav Jindal on 01 Mar 21

Ans. AMU BA LLB is not up to the mark in comparison to other law colleges in India. Instead of going for AMU, you can look up other well-known colleges like NLUs or any other private law colleges. If the option of other colleges doesn’t work you can choose to study in places like- Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata (preferably in this order). After completing the studies, join law firms and visit the college only to give exams. Similar to correspondence education. Check the rankings of the opted colleges on law websites, not the rankings like India today, etc., and then choose your respective college.Read more

Ques. Which is better for a BA LLB: Jamia or AMU?

● Top Answer By Yashmeet Grover on 01 Mar 21

Ans. Between Jamia and AMU, AMU is the preferable choice. The only drawback of AMU, as a law college, is its location. It is situated in a semi-urban area. This constricts the sea of opportunities that can come along the way if they were located in a completely urban area. Despite the locational disadvantages, you should keep AMU as your first choice. Here are the reasons why. AMU: Culture: It has a distinctive culture, unlike any other college. Faculty: The professors appointed have years of experience, they are one of the oldest members among the multiple law colleges across the globe. Ranking: In recent years the ranking for AMU for Law is as follows. 13th for LAW by NIRF’20 11th for LAW by Indiatoday’20 8th for Law by Indiatoday’19 JMI: Coming to Jamia, the first problematic area of this college is the lack of dorm facilities. Students face, consistently, hostel-related issues. Unlike AMU, Jamia doesn’t have a distinguishable culture on campus, which equals dull campus life. The courses offered by Jamia are as follows.  Five years integrated BA LLB course Four semester LLM course in three different streams i.e. personal law, criminal law, corporate law. Ph.D. program. The scoring of Jamia, based on different aspects is - Reputation- 11 Academic input- 12 Student care- 11 Infrastructure- 12 Placements- 13 Perceptual rank- 12 Factual rank (2020)- 9 (NIRF) Therefore, from the above discussion of facts, it is safe to say AMU should be the first choice.Read more

Ques. Which is the better choice for a BA LLB, Jamia, BHU, or AMU?

● Top Answer By Rohini Mishra on 01 Mar 21

Ans. There are a few law colleges that have been tagged as the “traditional law universities” due to their long history & renowned law faculties. The colleges which fall under this category are- AMU, Jamia, BHU, and GLC Mumbai & DU. although, the reputation of NLUs and their performance can never be surpassed by the above-mentioned law colleges. These universities are well-known & have great faculty that comprises jurists, lawyers, & academicians but their growth rate is slow. They have been able to walk parallel with the changing scenarios in the field of law, including a major deviation from the corporate law field. You need to make the decision about college by keeping in mind what you want to do in the future. In that, the discussion below can be helpful.  Aligarh Muslim University: Recently, AMU is in the limelight due to the high selection rate of its students in the judicial services examination. Also, AMU produces academically high qualified students. The number of people from AMU who have traveled abroad for an LLM degree is less, but nevertheless, it’s an achievement that can't be ignored. There is no placement cell at AMU faculty, which limits the internship opportunities. Since AMU is close to Delhi it makes it convenient for the students to seek internships outside the campus. AMU focuses more on acquiring core law knowledge. This might not be of much help when it comes to practical law (Litigation). However, the competitive environment on the campus helps in clearing competitive exams like judiciary exams, DJs, UPPCSJ. At the end of the day, one needs to decide what they want to do, likewise, choose the kind of knowledge they need. The atmosphere of AMU is not conducive for growth unless the student takes the imitative on its own. The student has to look for internships by themselves without being dependent on the college. Jamia Milia University: There are certain similarities between Jamia and AMU, except for the location. Jamia is located right in the heart of Delhi, thus making it easier for internship opportunities for students. Delhi is a place in terms of developing a legal perspective, therefore widening the exposure of students. The culture of Jamia, along with the enthusiasm for internships is quite lively. Jamia, like AMU, doesn’t have a placement cell on campus. Thus, restricting the job opportunities from the corporate sector of law. BHU: BHU has a placement cell for its students. BHU has kept up with the upcoming trends. A proof of this is the introduction of a 1 year LLM course. This hasn’t been adopted by the other two colleges yet. So, keep these things in mind and decide for yourself.Read more

Ques. Is IIM Ahmedabad better than Aligarh Muslim University?

● Top Answer By Vidya Bhatt on 15 Feb 21

Ans. Both the colleges have their own reputation. My father is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad while one of my brothers is pursuing Law from Aligarh Muslim University. Being a part of two prestigious colleges like IIM Ahmedabad and AMU, when they sit together and discuss something be it Law, ongoing cases, or any other matter, they both have a very different perspective. My father gives proficient suggestions in legal fields as well. He being an IIMian, believes in talking systematically. He is very patient in carving out solutions to every problem. He used to tell me the time of his MBA at IIM Ahmedabad. During his days of MBA, people were not very crazy about pursuing an MBA. But in his opinion doing MBA is the best opportunity to be a part of an institute like IIM Ahmedabad. Comparison: (Winning Institution - IIM Ahmedabad) Every college which is said to be one of the most reputed colleges may not provide the best in all the courses. In the same way, pursuing MBA from Aligarh Muslim University cannot be a good decision. AMU is best for many other courses but it’s a “Big No” for MBA.  If you are capable enough, then you must prepare to crack CAT and be a part of IIM Ahmedabad. MBA from IIM – A is a way better choice. The college has been producing better placement results for many years. They develop your management skills and prospers to bring out the best management skills in yourself.  The table below gives a brief comparison of the two institutes. Particulars IIM A Aligarh Muslim University Average CTC INR 25-30 LPA INR 6 LPA Highest CTC INR 74.62 LPA INR 10 LPA Ranking for MBA 1st by NIRF’20 45th by NIRF’20 If you are really devoted enough, you will definitely find IIM-A a great place to learn and grow.Read more

Ques. Are there reservations for Dalits at Aligarh Muslim University?

● Top Answer By Ankita Sarkar on 19 Jan 21

Ans. No, there is no special reservation for Dalits in Aligarh Muslim University. In fact, there is no reservation for any caste or religion at AMU. However, you need to mention your religion in the application form. After the entrance, the selection list is prepared purely based on merit.  Although the university does have an internal quota  AMU. If you want to take admission in an MTech course at AMU, your qualifying degree is BTech or BE. You can take advantage of the internal student quota, only if you have completed your undergraduate engineering degree from AMU.  Some of the other quotas at AMU are as follows. CA Quotas for Child of Alumni CE Quotas for Child of Employees NRI Quotas for Non-Residential of an Indian student PWD Quotas for persons with Disabilities Sports quota - AMU has reservations for only internal (SC, ST, OBc) and other categories of students, not for Dalits.Read more

"BTech in Amu"

Good college life. Down to earth atmosphere. Very low fees as compared to other colleges. It's a renowned university. The admission process is through the entrance. The entrance exam takes place around May every year. Since its admission process was delayed due to Covid, Teachers had to rush to complete the syllabus. It's a very famous and good college but it doesn't have good on-campus placements at it's not present in a highly developed city where the companies have their offices situated. Nevertheless, alumni have got extremely well packages in India and abroad. It also has a strong alumni connection all over the world.
