UPES MBA Selection Criteria 2026
UPES MBA selection is a two-stage process: qualifying in an accepted entrance exam, then clearing a Personal Interview (PI) conducted by UPES. The PI assesses motivation, clarity of purpose, and programme fit.
Accepted entrance exams and minimum cutoffs:
- UPESMET (UPES own test, rolling online): No national exam required.
- CAT 2026: Minimum 50 percentile.
- XAT 2027: Minimum 50 percentile.
- NMAT 2026: Minimum score of 120.
- GMAT: Minimum score of 400.
- MAT: Minimum 70 percentile.
- CUET-PG 2026: Valid score accepted.
Candidates meeting the national exam cutoffs are exempted from UPESMET. They proceed directly to the Personal Interview stage. MBA scholarship eligibility is also determined at the PI stage based on exam scores and graduation marks (see Scholarships section).
Note: UPES MBA accepts GMAT scores as low as 400, making it accessible to candidates who have not pursued GMAT preparation beyond the threshold. Candidates with strong CAT or XAT scores (50 percentile) should apply directly through the national exam route to skip UPESMET entirely.
