Jadavpur University Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement of CSE is quite good at Jadavpur University and it s 100% almost every year. Many companies come to the campus for recruiting students such as Google, Amazon, PWC, IBM, etc. Every year students apply for a placement at the start of their fourth year. These companies also offered students internship opportunities at the start of the third year. Almost 50-60 software companies visit every year and offer full-time employment to students. Many students also give different exams like the gate and GRE for higher studies. I also appear for Gate and got a very good rank there. Almost every year, Many students score very well rank in the Gate exam of the respective domain of their study. I plan to do higher study after the BE degree.

From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Tata Steel, PWC, Maruti Suzuki, Airbus etc. are among the top recruiters. The highest package is 1.6Cr from Google. Avg Package equals 10.5-11LPA. Almost 90 percent students from each branch except Civil and Construction get placements. This is all l came to know about this university after getting into this university.

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Students become eligible for campus internships from the 5th semester. Not many core companies visit the campus for internships. Roughly 10 to 15 offers are made only. This year only Tata Metallics and ITC have visited so far for interns. There are many non-core companies for internships. The FTE opportunities are plenty. A lot of companies visit the campus every year. PSUs like GAIL, BPCL, and IOCL visit the campus. Core companies like ITC, Maruti Suzuki, Airbus, Bajaj, etc visit the campus. Consultancy companies like PwC, ZS associates, Protiviti, polestar, etc visit the campus. The highest package in the core sector in mechanical is 22LPA. The highest in non-core is beyond 40 LPA ( very rare though). The average package is between 8 to 10 LPA. The lowest is 4.5 LPA.

Being a student of Jadavpur university you don't have to be tense for placement, all you need to do is work hard and develop some skills. And boom you will be in the top most company which you dreamt of. 1.8 Cr is the highest package offered to one of The students of JU and we have an average package of 10.2 LPA combined with all engineering branches.

The placement seasons are started in the 3rd year 2nd semester. And many internship opportunities are also provided by the teachers and also from many reputed MNC companies. The placement ratio is very good. The average package of our department goes 9LPA - 22LPA core and non-core companies.

After 3rd year 2nd sem they get a 3-month break for internships and then after returning the placement season starts. There are core companies that vary from branch to branch but for CE some main companies are LnT, Aditya Birla, exxon etc. The salaries are a bit low for core companies as compared to other fields. It's jot possible to provide the exact number of placements so it's advised to look at the Facebook pages of the department in JU, there you'll get a fair idea. Almost more than 85% of students get placed and for CE Last year it was 85.8% getting placed with around 50% in the core, the highest on-campus offer made was 30lpa by UndosTres, meta. And for all over it was 1.5 crores in Amazon, Dublin. I'm planning to get placed in the consultancy sector, as it pays well and growth is good

Ju is a tier 1 college so you will get placement benefits. if you are skilled then you will get campus placement. more than 500 companies visit campus. more than 1 offer skilled students surely get. placement depends on department wise in my department approximately 95 per cent of students get placed in every sector. The highest on-campus placement from my department is 22 LPA. The highest off-campus placement is 1crore+ from Google London.

From our last and fourth semesters, the students became eligible for placements. also, the students of 3rd year 2nd semester are also available for off-campus interviews. Overall 99% of students get placed on an offline campus. I love to take a govt job after completion of my degree.

From the 5th sem, you are eligible for campus placement. Companies like L & T, Tata steel, Tata Voltas, Tata power Through work ITDC IoT, etc. The highest package is 6 LPA & average package is 2 LPA. After completing the course I am going for a job.

From the final year they can apply for the placement. And the placement percentage is really good. You will definitely get placement from this university as it is the no 1 university in west Bengal and the best in class.
