Remarks

You have to give the GATE exam and have to appear for admission to Mtech at this university. You can find the application form of the gate on the official website of GATE. There have some facilities given to reserved categories like SC, SC, OBC, and PWD students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this university for its historical background and its popularity and also for the best class in the study curriculum. The faculty facilities are so good in this institution they provide us with much information about our studies and placement. They are well educated and ph.d holder.

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies visiting every year they hire many numbers of students with excellent salaries. You can also get the opportunity for internship and industrial visits. Major and minor projects also happen.

Placement Experience

From the final year they can apply for the placement. And the placement percentage is really good. You will definitely get placement from this university as it is the no 1 university in west Bengal and the best in class.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost that involves all the things is approximately 96000 for my course. There have facilities to get scholarships from this institution. Scholarships like SVMCM, OASIS, NSP, etc. And also compare to other universities it has the lowest fees.

Campus Life

There are so many fests happening in this university in a year like Sanskriti, u-turn, and another cultural fest it is so much fun to attend the fests. The university has it's own central library also in every department has a departmental Library.

You can Learn life if you pursue M.tech -- trust me from all aspects.

Likes

Campus is very chill and very good infastructure. Almost everything is available inside it.
Placement opportunity is avilable here.If you work hard you can grab it either online or offline.
There are many clubs and extra curricular activities to make your mind calm .

Dislikes

Hectic schedule and you feel nostalgic here if you are newbie
Very rude Strict professor .You have to find some more time for your own work.
Most important is the peer group , if you are alone here then you cannot survive in this environment

Placement Experience:

Look there are very large audience in this campus. For this specialization thereare many competitors - B.tech , integrated m.tech and even m.tech. So on campus placements are big issue here, many seniors applied for off campus , some left and join NTPC .

First of all the placements are good. The teachers are awesome. The environment is sweet and any one can stay here very comfortably. Maximum students are very talented, hardworking and intelligent, everyone has a big aim in life.
The functions of the college at any event and at any fastival are very interesting.
The indoor games and outdoor games facilities available.

Dislikes

The building are getting old they should have to paint the buildings and decorate.
The hostel for PG students is not good specially for girls.

Placement Experience:

In M.Tech. the students are eligible for placements after second sem. The highest package is 56lpa giving by Microsoft. The average placement pakage for CSE is around 10lpa. 90 percent students getting placed.

The campus greenery I loved it the most.
The behaviour of faculty members are too good and friendly.
Infrastructure is also good like Library, Gymkhana and different auditorium and weekend movies.

Dislikes

Hostel water problem sometimes it happens.
Mess food qualities some time they make rubbish.

Placement Experience:

At the end of 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. 1000 of company visit campus every year in January and December month. Placement takes place in two form one in December and other in January. Like IBM, puma, ICC bank, Deloitte, ABG, Lenovo, etc. highest package is about 2.68 crore per annum, average 15lpa According to different profiles. Students should have more than 8.5 cgpa for good placements. I will join a good company after completing the degree.

Admission:

Admitted after giving and securing a good rank in the joint entrance examination. Then choosing the couse was easy in this college as this is one of the best colleges in India. I was admitted to the civil engineering department which is the oldest in the country in this college.

Remarks:

Get admission for only getting degree don't expect much. Every 2 years alumni meeting happens in our college you can find some help from old students but don't expect much from this college. After completing no one will provide job.

The campus of IIT Kharagpur is really good. We had a big Cricket ground, a movie theater especially for IIT KGP students. The campus has got the biggest library in ASIA.

The best institute to learn and widen technical knowledge.

Remarks:

I can't complaint about studies. But it needs to improve the food quality provided by the mess. Students selected based on the voting for several responsibilities like sports, mess, maintenance etc are not doing their job properly.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score. The cutoff in the internal exam is around 70% for General Category and for CUET, the cutoff varies yearly....Read More
