- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Good college, good placements and we get lots of opportunity for research . Good labs and good environment for peace study. Everything is there here studies enjoyment good career. Hostels food quality should be improved.

Remarks:
I am very inclined towards automobile, vehicles, and mechanics. And I know that mechanical engineering is a core branch and very old course of this institution. Also this is a national institute, so placements will be better. So I opted for this branch and institute.

Having a brand of National Institute of Technology and being close to my hometown.Almost 100%placements for computer science was also a plus point for me. Moreover since childhood I was in bengal so a college in west bengal made me feel comfortable.

In every field, it stands high. Though there are some minor problems in college which can be neglected the overall performance is quite satisfactory. Our college also makes our professional development very well.

In my view, NIT Durgapur is a very nice and cool place to carry out your graduation. Apart from the studies, you can have a lot fun visiting places around the city. The management is also very helpful, and if you have any problem with the management, you can always go to the Student's Gymkhana. They will always listen to you.

Wifi facility in hostels is bad. 2nd year hostels are not good to leave. Old 1960 years hostels.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
