University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

There are various opportunities for placement, college's placement cell works really hard. The highest package was 21 lacs with an average package of 6 lacs. Not only job but they offer internship opportunities too, to enhance the student's skills.

They get internships even if they have completed their PG means post graduation but if you want proper placement you need to first finish graduation after many companies came like Aditya Birla, byjus India, Icici bank, wipro etc they offered 130 to 140 vacancies. The highest package offered are 130000 p.a for profile of like supervisor management, tech support managers, etc and the average package they offered is 100000 PA. There are almost 40% of students got placement and the rest of them would be rejected. My plan after graduation is to look for civil services studies which is UPSC.

The Placement Cell of SXC recruits students for working in many brands and companies. At least in the B.Sc. and B.Com. courses, from the second year (3rd semester) onwards students are eligible for registration to placements. The companies that recruit students are mainly from the pharmaceutical, software and academic sectors. Some of them are the Tata Consultancy Services, Jp Morgan, Reckitt Benckiser, Deloitte, Cognizant, Infosys and Flipkart. The package pertaining to these companies typically range between INR 3 L to INR 20.5 L. Around 70 to 80 % of the students get placed regularly in the top companies each and every year. After getting the bachelors degree, I plan to pursue a Masters in Chemistry and delve deeper into the extensive research carried out in this field of science.

1. Travel & Tourism is a very interesting subject so I choose it. 2. Faculty are fewer but they are good and students are also quite good and the ratio was 20:60. 3. They all are Ph.D. qualified and way of learning well. 4. It's regular and the papers used to be difficult but passed with a good number.

Mainly students can eligible for placement after their complete all semesters and should complete their graduation. There are mostly companies visited like Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Dr reddy laboratory, TCS, etc. They are just offering very negotiable packages like 210000 pa. The company give higher packages for BSc students. Like TCS give 250000 p.a and Dr reddy give 240000 PA and the average number of packages provided by Wipro is 210000 pa. There are almost 40-to 50% of students got placements and rest of the students got only internships. My plan as I previously told I want to become an entrepreneur so I would go for an MBA course after completing my graduation in this college.

As I was from commerce background, I choose to go for Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). Teachers are good and friendly. Teachers are well qualified. Internal Assessment Test are conducted by college teachers.

Students from their fourth and fifth semester can takes place in the campus of College where big auditing firms Like PWC and Deloitte visit the college to hire students. Average package is around 2 lacs with highest of 7 lacs per annum. Around 60% of students get placement. I want to be a Chartered Accountant in future.

After the 2nd year, students get eligible for placements. Many companies visit our campus for palcement like DELOITTE USI, CAPGEMINI, British telecom, CTS, etc. 60-70% of students get placed. The average package is around 3-3.5 lakhs. After completing my BCom I will go for MBA.

I always wanted to study B.com after taking commerce after the 10th class. Because there's vast scope and range of jobs available if you complete B.com. my next target is to do the M.COM as well. The teachers are very friendly and helpful in nature. They try to help us with every small fault and that's what makes every student able to solve problems on their own. Apart from that, every faculty member is highly educated and they try to implement every bit of knowledge upon us. So that it remains easy for us to score good marks during the exam. Every professor has their own method of teaching but they make sure that the way doesn't get too hard and it remains understandable for us. Several mock tests unit tests along with 2-semester exams happen every year. Passing the exam is very very easy. You just need to go through the class notes provided and you can easily get a decent score in any exam format.

Faculty here are so attentive towards the quality of education and very nicely explain any topic, they have clear concept in the domain of there teaching. I applied for this course because of more oppertunities and certain reasons also cause me to masters in commerce. Difficulty in the tests series and exams were not tough and even not intermediate.
