University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

There is no placement cell here. No company visits. No package. Not a single student getting placed. I'll be pursuing an MBA now I'm preparing CAT sidewise along with B.COM. This is a government college and it's economically good but there is no placement cell.

Before the placement statistics you have to Know one thing that is Calcutta University has started 4 year's BTech in 2015, before it, the University used to provide a Bsc BTech program for 80 years (approx). So, now you can imagine the alumni network and the reputation of this Institution in the corporate field. The average package is all around 5-6 LPA. I am giving you the placement statistics of my department that is Chemical Engineering. Among all Department in CU, Chemical Engineering Department has the highest placement statistics. About 90% of the batch is placed every year. Companies like Haldia petrochemical, Technip, Linde, Hindustan Unilever, Excide Battery, Balmaer Lawrie, Asian paint, Berger, Appolo tire, BARC, IOCL, ONGC, Diamond Beverage, Sun pharma, Pfizer etc, provide Placement and internship opportunities. The average package of Chemical Engineering is 5.5-6 LPA. And the other departments has also a good placement record

The students of Semester 5 and 6 are eligible for Campus Placements. The companies visited are. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Google, Larsen n Turbo and many more. The percentage of students getting placements is 90%. My plans after getting the degree are being placed in a top-notch company and aside that I can prepare for my MBA.

In 2015, college still ran on a yearly basis. The companies started visiting the campus in the early third year. Many Companies Like TCS IPRO ICICI life insurance, Telekart, Indigo, etc visit the campus on a regular basis. The average CTC was 200000 PA. After completion of my degree, I went ahead to work for a private manufacturing company.

Students of 3rd semester can apply in placement cell for placements teachers are really very helpful they will instruct the students regarding interviews and all there are 4 -5 companies visited the college every year highest package is 5 lakh and the average package offered is 2-3 lakh.80%of the students are placed. Companies like Deloitte, cognizant Wipro, etc visit the college

Students become eligible for the placement from the last semester i.e semester 6. There are various companies that visit the campus including various MNCs. The highest package of the campus was 22lakhs and avg. the package is around 5-6 lakhs. My plan after getting the degree is to pursue CA.

The college hostel facility are neet and clean.100rooms are available for students who belong to other cities.and wi-fi facilities are available for students who in It field.2 big library are here maximum 5000 books are available likes motivational speaker stories.and our history of India.which students are preparing for government exam library good for him who is getting every types of books maths economic etc.

Students become eligible for placements in the 3rd year. They can enroll in the placement cell which helps with placements, Some departments get quite good placements from reputed companies. After getting the degree, I plan on sitting for the JAM MSc entrance exams.

In semester 6 students can get a placement as per their educational qualification. Big companies like TCS, HCL, Wipro, etc. Visits for placement. Salary package depends on qualification & about the experience of work.

I am in the first year of bsc comp sc hon. I dont really know about the placements here. But I have heard that some big companies come to our college to offer jobs to the freshers. Like Wipro Infosys etc. After my completion of the degree, I am planning to crack cat and do mba from any reputated iim's or any iit's
