University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I choose my institute University of Calcutta, Viharilal College of Home Science Campus because I found the subject of my choice in the institute, all the prof. Non teaching staffs are really very good & has wonderful behaviour & they all are very supportive & ofcourse the environment of my institute

One of the most reputed colleges in West Bengal, also science faculty is excellent. Biology is my favourite subject, hence I wanted to pursue a career in microbiology.

The best in town. Has great brand name. Boasts of renowned alumni. Friendly, approachable and supportive faculty. Great exposure and opportunities are provided. Good campus. Convenient location. Promotes the social and cultural interest of students.

Teachers were very educated and we had to maintain discipline strictly. But there was no feed back, individual care taken from students, It was necessary.

No other College had their applications open. I had been rejected from the other courses I had applied to, like medical and engineering. Long after the board results were out I had to take the decision of choosing another stream, so.

3rd-semester students might be eligible for the campus. The placement of the students is pretty good. My plans after getting a degree are doing a job in the government sector

placement in our college is good, From 7th semester student become eligible for campus placement. In my specialization (Ceramic Engineering) OCL India Private ,Maithan Ceramic Limited, Hindustan Sanitaryware & Industries Limited, RHI India Private Limited etc.these companies are visited our campus. average package is 3.4L - 6L per annum. and In my specialization above 90% student getting placement others go to M.Tech according 2018, Because 2019 is some disturbance due to covid pandemic. After pass out from the college my 1st preference is job and otherwise M.tech is also good option.

I did not attend such campus placements and have o idea if they have it now. However, it can be looked up on the website

As calcutta university is renowned university in kolkata. I choose this university because of the ambiance and the review which i get from my seniors. They are now pursuing their B. ed as well. And the faculties are also helpful.
