Calcutta Girls' College was established in 1963 and is a women's undergraduate college in Kolkata, West Bengal, It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta. The students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized Indian Board are eligible for admission. The students will be selected on the basis of merit.

The availability of the geology course along with the helpful and knowledgeable faculty members for this course seemed to be in the best interest of mine in addition to the many referrals.Infrastructural-wise it might not stand out but the faculty is as best as you could get. The reason i took up this course is because it isn't that mainstream plus the field projects are an experience.

Its a government college and the fess structure is also very moderate. Moreover this college was my first preference and luckily I got the admission. The teaching as well as the non - teaching staff are very helpful at all times.

The Management of the college is student friendly and helps us whenever we are in need.

The overall rating for the college can be given as 6 out of 10, which is average. The management of the college needs to be improved as there is an all-time experience in facing huge delay while making any decision, even if the matter is of very less importance.

The students union is one pain point as it interfered in events and sports activities.

The college infrastructure is good. New buildings are constructed with all the latest equipment. The college provides facilities like smart classrooms, library, sports center and hostel facility.Teachers are very good and world class. Most of them have industry exposure and have multiple research paper written.

Stringent rules about timings. We were not allowed to leave campus before 2:30 pm, even if we didn't have classes.

Because no other college was having this course in their college and I have been looking forward to this college since I was in my h.s because it gives a very nice environment for all the students and heard a lot about this college and the professors are really very helpful and they teach in a better method than the others and even the assignments are also helped by the professors

I chosen this college as it is a full girls college and also I have chosen this course because it has many opportunities to get a job in this competitive society. There are many things where students can enjoy in their college life like quiz, sports, football, dance function, etc.
