University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I always loved English and literature, so the faculty and University really provided me with that effeciency with great effectiveness which influences me still to further my career in English . The difficulty is to be taken with care and seriousness. It is not at all an easy course as most people think it is. Literature in English is tough. You have to remain connected with various kind of books and read tons of articles and journals and research papers for good answers. Also take the notes of your lecture very well else it will affect your marks.

My reason for choosing Bcom was mainly because i love accounts and also want to pursue CA in the near future, and one of the main reasons i chose Goenka was because it's a very reputed college and has a great faculty.

Our course provided a good mix up between Pure and Applied mathematics as we are able to study C programming language and Sagemath in our DSE paper. Also we got general classes of Physics and chemistry in our first 4 semesters. But the exams are too frequent according to my opinion.

The college offers very great placements. Many companies recruit students from our college every year, like Wipro, TCS, Deloitte, etc . The highest package from this of this college has been 1.8 CR Parani and the lowest is around 25 lakhs per annum . Around 50% to get placement from this college every year

My previous high school was kendriya vidyalaya, so being a student of kendriya vidyalaya, I don't think their teaching habits are that much excellent, it is kind of mediocre but can be improved habitually

After the last sem the students can take this opportunity for their future.Many companies like TCS Magic bus Software engineer have come out college to give our the offer and many students are take the offer now they earn a big of amount from their skills.I want to take admission in MA after my graduation

Curriculum was quite unique and modern and much needed for the modern concept of education. Because i am from education subject background i think the curriculum is beneficial for the for the real world applications They should focus on new teaching learning materials and modern materials

There are various aspects for this college and there are collectives that was groups like cresendo, flames and other groups as well. And college should also improve the faculty and staff members. And timings also for the college classes.

In the real world they dont do any thing, they just focus on their studies but according to me they should focus on the students growth too , few skills which are very required rather than making projects. The course is nice but study methods are not implemented.

I chose this course because I love this subject throughout school specifically in class 12th so I decided to study this further and I do have some career thoughts thats why I chose this, it totally depends on the students what they want to study in which field they want to go, if I have to say about faculties and their teaching technique those were very good but the exam pattern is little bit difficult for the freshly entered student because Calcutta university pattern recently changes from CBCS to CCF, this create a little but problem because we face the problem when the exams are conducted and all.
