University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The course is very nice and productive. Thought it doesn't provide higher placement but it gives insight about the world and what's happening in a around the world. It also helps to know about the past events of the world

The course curriculum is a bit confusing. In jaipuriya there are 2-3 faculties for the same subject which makes it difficult for us to get into the subject properly. The curriculum tends to be more of theoretical rather then practical. It has very few relevance with the real life scenarios.

From semester 4 there's employment opportunities and the jobs are usually around 12,000 - 18,000 can go upto 25,000 depending on the students skills and internships and experiences. I don't have knowledge about the highest avg package.

1. It is one of the best college for science in Howrah district, West bengal 2. You can blindly believe on science faculty if you are a science student 3. But I think some teacher's need to consistent on their class some times they are inconsistent due to some reason 4. I chose this college because this is the best college for my strem(Science) in my local area

From 3rd year, students become eligible for campus placements. Zomato, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, Berkadia, etc, the number of offers are around 500-700 Highest package offered is 36LPA and average is 8LPA. 25-30% students are getting placements. My plan is to pursue MBA after the course.

The course curriculum was from basics so most of the new concepts and trending was taught. The faculty is also good and knowledgable. They thought various new things. Exams held there according to semester wise every year.

Some special parts of this course have influenced me to take this course, for example Entrepreneurship, Tallying, IT has always been my favourite subjects to learn, instead of taking a degree of entrepreneurship i can simply learn it from the course ive taken e.i Bcom Hons. The curriculum teaches us all the works that are being done in the corporate world. This makes us ready for real life problems and helps in decision making. Improvements can be made in this course by adding the subject of E commerce as its very important now in todays time. The frequency and timing of exams are okay as the subjects are not really that hard .

I HAVE CHOOSEN B.COM (HONS) . THIS IS THE BEST COURSE WHICH A STUDENT CAN DO AFTER HIS 12TH CLASS. THIS COURSE WILL HELP YOU TO INCREASE YOUR KNOWLEDGE IN ACCOUNTING, TAX ENGLISH, IT AND FR AND FM . IF SOME WANTS TO CHANGE HIS COURSE HE CAN CHANGE IN THE 5 TH SEM

I always wanted to do bcom so it was my choice. We get all the theory concepts and also in subjects like IT we get to go to the lab and get practical practice .exams are taken on sem basis and a good level of paper is set by them

We receive placements fron banking sectors as well as IT sectors. The placements aren't the best because more students studying bcom just opt for higher studies but even if you're opting for job after bcom, a starting package of 20-30LPA is expectable.
