Entrance Preview:

I attended the Kerala Entrance Examination and had a rank 2219 in the same. RIT is a famous college around here, the facilities it offers is really good though being a Government college.

Entrance Preview:

I have got scored in GATE 2010 and my percentile was 84%. With marks 24. I chose this college, as I was interested in the course "opto electronics and communication systems " which was not provided by any other college. One another attraction was that, this college is under the CUSAT university.

Remarks:

All the faculty were good, except one or two, especially from electronics dept. Over all it was a nice experience. Especially we had South India and All India Study tours. It was very nice. That is the most memorable moments in the campus life.

Anna University is ranked as follows:

The current world ranking is 1168. The national ranking is 25. Education Rank is 530 in terms of quality. The alumni employment ranking is 1488. The research Performance Rank is 1111. The overall rating is 69.3. 

The University's Main Campus covers 189 acres and is bordered on the north by the Adyar River and on the south by Raj Bhavan. The Madras Institute of Technology at Chrompet is the University's second campus, spanning 52 acres. Taramani, Chennai, has a third campus that spans 5 acres. These campuses have a variety of buildings that serve the University community's various needs.

ISRO has given Anna University the task of creating the "Microsatellite" known as ANUSAT.

It is the first university in India to have a satellite that will carry payloads for technological demonstrations. ANUSAT, which weighs about 35 kg and uses 40 W of power, will function as a store and forward communication station. There are ground stations at MIT, AU, and IIT Kharagpur. The total cost of the project is Rs. 5 crores, and a clean room is included. A facility for assembly is established at the MIT Aerospace department. The structure is built at the College of Engineering, Guindy, along with significant power and other electronic subsystems. Software for thermal, control, orbital, ground and payload systems is created by MIT and Anna University departments.
